I heartily agree with earlier reports re Mango Bay and Ong Lang Beach. The thing that makes this resort outstanding is the Staff. In a country where the attention paid to tourists is already of a high standard compared to Australia, Mango Bay staff stand out as the best of the best. I understand that staff turnover is low and... More

This place is fantastic. The whole resort is thoughtfully designed to be conscientious of the environment. It is a beautiful spot with lovely bungalows and fantastic free yoga classes on the beach every afternoon. I could not recommend this place more highly

An excellent resort! Ecological in the best meaning of the word, with everything constructed in good taste and in harmony with the surrounding nature. We had all meals during our 4 night stay at the resort-restaurant, which has a really good selection of dishes, including for the younger part of the family (14 and 18 years old), with variations every... We stayed at the Mango Bay resort in April 2014, after getting the 2.5hr seacat from the mainland. It was amazing, the beach was clean and idyllic, our stilt beach chalet was beautiful and included terrace sun loungers, four poster bed, basic yet eloquent furnishings and included an ice bar which on request can be replenished daily. We also had... More

This was the perfect place to end our first holiday to Vietnam. We visited Hanoi, the rice terraces of Sapa, Halong Bay, Hue, & the charming town of Hoi An before ending up in bustling Ho Chi Min City - a wonderful and hectic trip. Mango Bay was recommended to us by our son who had stayed there a couple... More

Just stay here, you can't possible not enjoy it. It's actual paradise. The rooms are perfect, the concept of the resort is admirable, the staff are excellent, the restaurant is severely unpriced and of paramount quality to anything you could get elsewhere on Phu Quoc,

My wife and I stayed in this resort for 5 nights in July 2014 and really enjoyed it. It has spacious grounds with plenty of space between the bungalows making them quite private. There are a few different swimming areas but the beach beside the beach bar is the probably the best and you may need to get here early... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights during the monsoon season. And wow was it wonderful. From start to finish, the staff make you feel like you are a king and queen on your perfect paradise getaway. the location is so quite and laid back; the bungalows are incredible quality and feel right at the heart of nature... This is a REAL eco-hotel, not some fake advertising. That's the thought you should keep in mind before going here. It's beautifully laid out, but there is no air conditioning. To keep the rooms reasonably cool, there are slightly open shutters in every bungalow, allowing insects to come in (though we didn't have many inside); and the walls are so... More

Mango Bay is beautiful and laid back. Every detail is considered and their customer service is fantastic. All this being true without being too flashy or wanky. They let the resort blend with the beauty of the island instead of force schmick condos. We loved the Eco based elements they incorporated. Even though we had bad weather, we left relaxed... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This is a low density resort, driven by a passion for the environment, intelligent use of materials, and strong support for island culture. Mango Bay is tucked away off the beaten track, with Vietnam's first rammed earth bungalows, enclosed by beach and protected forest. There are no air-cons, television sets or telephones in the rooms for a true fusion with nature at the island's first eco-friendly resort. All rooms and bungalows have open sea views and offer mosquito nets. ... more   less
