We stayed at Mango Bay for 3 nights in the middle of a hectic tour of Vietnam. It is an incredibly relaxing resort where it is possible to do nothing if that is what you are looking for. It is a beautiful but quite isolated location, is quiet and has very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was a Plantation... More

This Eco resort is over priced, rundown and in dire need of maintenance. The water in the taps and toilet was brown, stained sheets on my bed, stained and worn out cushions on the sunbeds and chipped crockery. The huts are open to any wildlife eg lizards to crawl in and out at will day and night. I was booked in... More

Normally if I’ve waited more than 2 months to write a review, it simply isn’t going to happen. But Mango was special enough that it continues to haunt our family (positively) in our dreams. Our time at Mango Bay created a series of memories that my 70-year-old parents, my small kids and I return to over and over again, as... More

Paradise Lost? Not quite, but there are some issues. We travelled as a couple to Mango Bay and stayed from March 3rd to 6th, 2015. To be sure, this place is everything the many positive reviews from other travellers held it out to be, but some hospitality issues need to be corrected. We stayed in a Fisherman's bungalow and we... Mango Bay is an eco resort on the beautiful island of Phu Quoc in the Gulf of Thailand off the coast of Cambodia but belonging to Vietnam. The resort has 3 beaches and two beach side restaurants, one serving a wide range of local and western food and the other serving more beach bar type food and both are excellent.... More

Ideal location - quiet, nice private beach - with an hotel which needs to be renovated, especially when you check the price of the room. If I would go back? Definitely not. We complain about our bungalow which was very old (broken lamp, non functionning fan...) but the direction of the hotel apologied and agreed that our bungalow needed renovation.... More

Charming, stylish and boutique eco-friendly resort. Staff is well trained. Food is tasty. The grounds are expansive. Free yoga. Very quiet. Bungalows are isolated and private; however the individual rooms have thin walls so bring ear plugs if you don't want to hear what's happening next door.

This place is amazing. When we first arrived, the laid back style panicked me a little and I wondered if I had made the right choice...2 hours later sitting at the beach bar with a Mango Daquiri (highly recommended!) we did not want to be anywhere else in the world. This resort is an eco resort and you must be... More

We spent 5 nights at Mango Bay Resort being the end of our 18 days in Vietnam. We had our own bungalow/cottage just next to the sea. Our sea-view Cottage was spacious with a nice covered terrase were we would sit watching the sun set. The beach is good with amble space between the sunbeds. The restaurant is really nice... More

If you want laid back, then Mango Bay is for you. We had three nights here on Phu Quoc and, after the madness of Hanoi, the location was perfect. We stayed in one of the larger bungalows with a sea view and it was excellent - large bedroom with views over the beach adjoining an enclosed outside bathroom with shower.... More
