We had this idyllic beach almost to ourselves and were able to kayak to a little island which was surrounded by coral and perfect for snorkelling. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and keen to please and to improve their English. The food was good and reasonable, and the rooms simple but comfortable. The resort feels very close to... We stayed here for 4 days and we all loved it! After a couple of days on busy Long Beach, we decided to hire a taxi up to Vung Bao Resort. Turned off an unpaved, bumpy road, and we arrived at a beautiful, nearly empty beach, to a warm reception from the staff at the Resort. The rooms were simple... More

The hotel is on a beautiful beach, a long way from the resort hustle and bustle of tourist Phu Quoc. If you are after long, long beaches to walk on and glorious seclusion, this should be your choice. The staff is great. Miss Thao and Mr. Nuon's efforts were notable and their terrific attitude is an example many, many Vietnamese... More

Vung Bau resort is very, very remote, primitive in facilities and probably one of the most secluded and far away, uncrowded beach that you can find. If you're looking for 5 star luxury, entertainment, touristy shopping, gourmet food and wine and spa pampering then Vung Bau IS NOT for you! However, if you like the sound of empty beaches with... The resort is far and secluded so for us it was Perfect but if you travel alone maybe you'll prefer a place not that far from the city. The best part was the beach and after strolling along it, this resort has the best part. The food was uninspiring and we prefer eating in the next resort. The beer was... More

As many have written, this resort is a bit out of the way - a 20-30 minute drive from the island capital of Duong Dong and 45 minutes from the new international airport. Some of the road is a dirt sand track, so is a bumpy drive. There is no public transport to the resort so you have to rely... More

We stayed here for four noights. The beach was beautiful. The staff very friendly and service minded. The room clean. The bathroom outside so we hade eight-legged visitors several times (Huntmen's spiders). We wanted a nice quiet place but unfortunately the hotel had bus loads of visitors during the day taking over the beach. Maybe this because it was during... More

If your looking for a place with: I quieted place with almost non tourist and a "private" beach, by yourself, you have come to the right place. Beach: -Not so crowded, maximum when I was their around 20 people. - 3-4km beach, if you want to have more privacy, or have a nice morning/evening walk. -White sand, sea has light... More

We were here with my husband on our second stay in Phu Quoc. Also four of our friends joined us for 5 nights in the same resort. If you want peace and serenity in Phu Quoc - go here! The resort is new but it has everything you need: amazing beach, cheap rooms and nice atmosphere. The staff is super... More

I'm writing this review under the stars during the second night of my stay here. We were initially reticent about booking here, for there hadn't been any reviews posted yet. There was no need to hesitate: this is a wonderful place. Located about 45 minutes north of the concentration of resorts on Long Beach, Vung Bao is a serene locale.... More
