We stayed in Bamboo cottages for 3 nights. The staff made us feel welcome immediately, explaining about the free kayaks and the free drinking water in the wine bottles at reception. You must kayak over to the small island in the bay. Snorkelling off its beach just has to be experienced. We arrived just in time for the free cocktails,... More

If you are looking for quiet, tranquil, peaceful, then...look no further. Bamboo Cottages is the right place, located approximately 25 kilometers away from the airport and the town, the area is really lovely and it has its own beach. The bungalow is quite spacious, without any frills though, you forget about civilization when you are there. There is no AC... More

We stayed in Bamboo cottages for 3 nights, we were met with a warm welcome on arrival and decided to grab a bite to eat, the manager Charles introduced himself and seemed like a very friendly guy, he told us about the free kayaks and the water in the wine bottles (Very nice touch). There was also a free cocktail... More

This is a great resort with good service. If you want to unwind and keep life simple, this is the place. Service is exceptional and the staff make you feel welcome. The food is very good. There were no mosquitos when we were there and we didn't even need to use the mosquito netting at night. Wifi worked well. The... More

Food was absolutely lovely too and the views were amazing. Have a massage on the beach (though private and discrete of course) as it was very lovely to float along to my sunbed afterwards. The staff were very willing to teach their language and learn ours - a nice tough. There's a government plan in action to clear any rubbish... More

Staff excels, manager will refill your coffee for you without asking. I kayaked, snorkled, motorbiked, swam, read books, ate and sunned - all to the tunes of beach surf. Five days wanted two more. Got my mojo back.

We spent five nights at the Bamboo Cottages over the Christmas holidays. I can't imagine anywhere else in the world I would have rather been. The entire Bamboo team went beyond the call of duty to make our family holidays special, especially Charles the manager. Keep in mind this is a remote location without a lot of nearby dining options.... More

A little expensive, but worth every penny. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Good snorkling at the little Island just outside. Beautiful view, nice rooms, hold food. Our children also loved it. Perfekt for relaxation.

If you're looking to relax and be taken care of by a fantastic manger and staff in a gorgeous, peaceful hide-away, this is it! The cottages are spacious with big glass fronts, overlooking the ocean. The bathrooms are open-air so you may have a gecko for company but you may also have orchids growing, as we did! My husband had... More

Chao Sheila W, It was wonderful having you two stay with us for those few days and we’re all thankful your husband enjoyed his birthday so much. Yes, the rubbish/trash/littering on Phu Quoc is a major issue and the local tourism industry is just starting to unite and bring a team into action. This past weekend, we were able to... More

A little piece of paradise! Beautiful place with friendly staff. We stayed at a beachfront cottage for four nights, just great to sleep so close to the water. The open air bathroom is funny, a nice touch. We rented a scooter one day, nice to see a bit of the Island. We also took a massage, and the girl giving... More
