Me and my wife spent 4 nights in March there. Yes, it is a Lonely Place! Deserted beach and all that. Just remember that a few days without a scooter might get a little boring there. Unless you have an interesting book, you want to have a peaceful rest and you don't mind paying a lot (by local standards) for... More

I'm a little torn writing this review. The staff at Bamboo are very warm and genuinely care - which I think is the reason for so many positive reviews. Once a rapport is created it becomes very difficult to criticise, so my first comment would be to understand this context before taking the high ranking reviews as gospel. The positive:... More

After dealing with the craziness of Saigon, it was a nice escape to peace, tranquility, and the beach. The owner was very attentive with every thing that happened and was easy (and accessible) to talk to. Van (the awesome young lady at the front desk) was simply amazing. She was my go-to girl. I had a slight problem with my... More

I am so glad we stayed here. The beach is very isolated and perfect for all-day lazing. Try to stay at the woodhouse, which was incredibly charming. The restaurant served some of the best food we had on our trip. And the staff couldn't have been friendlier. I highly recommend renting the kayak and making a trip to the tiny... More

I've never written a TripAdvisor review before and am only writing one now because this place was so incredible. Simple cottages, remote, quiet, beautiful. You can eat (a very good) breakfast, lunch and dinner on the property. The whole vibe there is just magical. The people are great, welcoming, warm, very Zen. I felt so lucky to find this place.... After 3 nights in Saigon, we couldn't wait to escape to Phu Quoc - and the secluded Bamboo Cottages couldn't have been more perfect. Opening the door of our beachfront cottage on to private golden sands lapped by turquoise sea never got boring - nor did the incredible food or smiling, friendly staff. We turned off our phones (there's no... More

If you're looking for a relatively remote beach destination with lots of peace and quiet, Bamboo Cottages will fulfill your needs. The property is situated on a stretch of Vung Bau Beach without too many other properties cluttering the beach. You can walk or run down the beautiful strand of sand hardly encountering another person all along the way. The... More

As if Phu Quoc wasn't already an isolated oasis, Bamboo Cottages offers the getaway of your dreams. The cottages are nestled away on the northern part of this island in a natural setting amongst a lush array of beautiful flora and fauna. Quietly perched upon a clean, unspoilt beach, the location is far from the distractions of the city. The... More

We stayed here for 6 nights after visiting Mui Ne and HCMC and it was the highlight of our trip. Beautiful setting away from the trashy touristy bits of the island, great food (a simple menu with a different set lunch and dinner menu each day, some basic staples and a few drinks), friendly, open atmosphere, Eco-friendly approach throughout, lovely...
