It rained everyday. And it could've ruined a perfectly good two week holiday but we were at Freedomland and nothing, not even incessant rain could mar the superlative experience of being there. It was painfully beautiful listening to the pitter patter of rain on the roof or from the hammock outside the room. We changed rooms twice in our two... More

You are blessed if you visit Freedom Land! Thank you for an awesome stay, we feel so lucky landing a bed for a few nights. Great set up all eating together -although you wouldn t choose to do it, it makes your experience and wonderful times you could never normally dream of. The food was the best we experienced in... Although it's true that FL is a bit more expensive than some other places (both for food and accommodation), in my view it's worth it - this is like nowhere else we've stayed. We found the owners to be really lovely and the place itself is put together thoughtfully, sort of like a traveller hangout but populated mostly by young... More

Freedomland can be awful: 20 minutes walk to the beach, a dirty road, insects, geckos, no shopping, no next to the beach bar, no swimming pool, sand under your seat at the table, no AC, no hot water, no roof for the bathroom and no real isolation on the room from outside. If you want all these, do no go there.... More

Probably the best place I have ever stayed. Freedomland is unique and beautiful. If you are going to Phu Quoc you should stay here. Everyone is very friendly and the food is outstanding. You can hire scooters and travel the island or you can enjoy the beach which is only a short walk from the jungle paradise. Thank-you to Rita... More

It is the best place to stay in Phu Quoc where you find nice and friendly people from all over the world, exotics landscapes and most important warm and kind people like Rita and Peter the owners of the resort. How can I forget the fusion of European and Vietnamese cuisine, the best food I ever ate in my life.... More

What a unique and lovely place Freedomland is! Nice hosts, fantastic bungalows and superb food! Paradise in the jungle, yet close to the beach. We spent 4 nights and found ourselves completely relaxed in an atmosphare of doing nothing except enjoying nice company, excellent food and perfect ambience:-)

There could ve been no better choice to stay in Phu Quoc. A wonderful vibe of relaxation as soon as you enter the resort. Rita and Peter greet you warm-heartedly and serve amazing food at communal dinners. It s very sociable if you want it to be and you meet quite some travellers. The bungalows are very charming and spacious.... More

This home stay resort is not for everyone, but if you love nature, love peace and quiet, and love to eat there is no better place. What an experience! Every evening Peter prepares a delicious 5 course meal, everything from traditional Vietnamese to Infusion cuisine. Dinner is served at one table with all of the guests sitting together, a great... Please just go. If you love food and wild places (jungle) you will not be disappointed. Many times easy things are the key point for satisfaction. People who complain maybe need to look for city hotels...this is only for nature lovers. Rita, Peter thanks. We will be back.

Freedomland offers an home style hospitality, where you can relax amongst friends you have just met, swapping stories over dinner after a day of adventure exploring the island or a day of total relaxation on the nearby beach. As each day goes by, you will appreciate we are not a hotel. They are opened enough to allow air flow, furnished with fans (no A/C), wooden furniture locally made and mosquito nets. There is no tv plasma, no hot water (method Kneipp ;), no hairdryers, no minibar and no air conditioned in our bungalows. FOOD & DRINK: Exclusively for lucky freedomland guests, family and friends every night we cook a communal dinner when everyone has the opportunity to meet, enjoy the food and the ambiance. Peter's cuisine is a skilful blend of vietnamese and European cuisine. All the guests fell in love with the Peter's cooking, and he likes sharing his love for food. ... more   less
