First impression of this hotel was that for the price we paid ($45), we were getting a GREAT deal! The grounds were beautiful, they let us check in very early with no problem, everything seemed very quiet, serene, and orderly. We were happy with our room, the hotel food was good (we ate Thai food) and reasonably priced, and the service in every aspect was fantastic. The playground was great for the kids,(although VERY weathered and worn, like a lot of things here), and they loved the rabbits and peacocks on the grounds. So, here's the "but" part. We stayed with my parents and our 2 year old son.
The rooms were OK, comfortable. Although things such as the towels in the bathroom looked as though they had been in use for 20 years.
The hotel lacked atmosphere and the restaurant was truly awful. I ordered a pork dish and I struggled to find any edible meat. Stick to fried rice.
The main reason for going was to see the National Park just up the road and that was excellent. Saw lots of monkeys and deer. Alas no tigers.
