The girls on the desk are nice and friendly and efficient. Some of the other staff need to learn to smile and greet guests. As for the rooms, they are old and dated with dark timber furnishings. Bathrooms too are far from modern. We had a VIP room, so named because of it being large, I doubt many VIP's have... More

Nothing luxurious about this hotel. But its very good for budget travelers. Dont expect any fancy toiletries. But room size is good in this price. Rooms are quite and secure. Service was also good; manager and front desk people were very friendly. Mini-bar and room service rates are the same. They have a 24 hour restaurant. I tried there curry.... More

Having a few months to kill before returning to the states I decided to give Angeles City a shot. Angeles is not the best place for a long term stay as far as hotels go. Pricey to say the least. I had stayed at the Phoenix before on "visa runs" and decided this was my best bet. Wise choice. The... More

I've stayed at Phoenix frequently over the past several years. The physical property is older and shows a bit of wear and tear. The hotel is located close enough to the mall and Fields Ave area that they are easy to get to quickly and yet far enough away to be out of the traffic jams, noise, and generally hectic... More

Good for sleeping. Without doubt. The rooms are basic. But this is value for money. Located slightly down the road from where all the noisy bars are. You are at a quiet part of town. Away from the entertainment but within walking distance. Food is 24 hours and the curry is top notch. Suicide curry is the way to go.... More

Have used this hotel for the past 10 years. The rooms are comfortable but with no natural light. However the service has always been excellent, a phone call secures a room without any fuss. Mike the manager is always most accommodating. This year the dinning room and bar was updated adding more tables for the loss of the pool table... More

The Phoenix Hotel in Angeles City is on the periphery of all the hot spots but close enough to still be convenient. It is an all-inclusive hotel, that is, it has its own eating establishment and small bar on the premises, so if you are not up to venturing out, there is no need. The rooms have king-size beds, a... Found the hotel clean and the staff very friendly. Good food in the bar, and many xpats to chat with. Pool was inviting and with a cold beer hit the spot on a hot day. It is off the main strip so not so loud as many of the other hotels I tried. Good public transport to the bars and... More
