I stayed at this hotel for five nights this past April, construction going on all the time, no restaurant as per the hotel website, and really nobody there willing to help. Asked if I can get another room since my balcony was overlooking another building's restroom. I was in the US Army and dealt with some interesting sleeping situations but... More

Central location but noisy. Rooms are spacious and well appointed with a very good mattress and wifi works well. Balcony is tiny. Bathroom with sober awkward shower. All in all I don't want stay here again for the current price. That is particularly high. Reception staff is a hit and miss. Sometimes thoughtful and sometimes they are very busy with... More

upon arriving, was greeted by an area under serious construction inside and out. the hotel is undergoing major renovations. was offered a room in a "sister" hotel and after hearing the multiple jackhammers, took them up on the offer. a tricycle was hired to take me and my bags over to the Mint, not nearly as conveniently located as the... Its a very small "overpriced" hotel with just one cafe located at the lobby. No restarueant and definitely no room service (when you really need it at night). The suite (as featured) looks more like a huge bathroom that is fitted with a bed. The bathroom is ok and bed sheets were dirty. The only saving grace about this hotel... More

no better place to be in this town than at this hotel. it is small and friendly, rooms are basic but large, aircon works well, and there is a street level cafe which is fantastic for people watching. rooms in back are quieter; those in front have balconies, and you won't escape the 24 hour activity down on Fields

There's no doubt Fields Avenue is a 24 hour party with the morning shift street vendors often in place before the evening shift finishes as dawn approaches. To experience this you need to book one of the Fields side balcony rooms but be prepared for the continuous sounds of life in this fascinating place. I had room 1 which is... More

The Grand Central was in the middle of a revamp but this did not alter the quality of my stay, The hotel has great hosts and is sat in the Ideal location smack bang in the middle of Fields Ave.I stayed in the spa room, which is highly recommended for the price. I will definitely return to the GCH on... More

I found this hotel through Tripadvisor and based on the recommendation of 5 top hotels around the area. And i booked it through Agoda. I can't say if i was disappointed with the hotel or the reviews. We didn't expect to see the heartbreaking scene along the way to the hotel. We also didn't know that cars are not allowed... More

Hello, thank you for your feedback of our property. We are going through quite a few changes in the lobby area - there is a new restaurant coming in soon and everything from the street to the reception will be upgraded. We apologize for the inconvenience of having to walk your bags to the hotel from your vehicle. Having a... More
