Grand Mutiara may be your best bet for accommodation while traveling to Berastagi. We stayed there for 2 nights and found the maintenance to be satisfactory. Bed was comfortable, water pressure is strong, towels are clean. We stayed at Super Deluxe - while the space is huge, the room feels very empty. However, breakfast is pathetic. Please take note that... More

We were welcomed by cold orange juice. Our room is on the 2nd floor. This hotel has no elevator but we were not worried since the bellboy helped to send the luggages. The hotel has spacious lobby and overall it is really clean. Our room looks bit tired but nonetheless the room AND bathroom very clean and spacious. My bed... More

2nd Night on my 4d/3n tour. Upon check in, my tour guide asked me to check the rooms to ensure in good order. Afraid I'll complain like the hotel I stayed a night before. Great room with nice garden view. No air con, no fan but the weather is cool, opening the sliding door is enough. Dinner was 7/10. The... More

Checked in the grand mutiara hotel berastagi and was impressed with scenery and atmosphere of the hotel. There isn't any better hotels here though. Service was good, staff friendly. Dinner was wonderful but breakfast is very basic. Pool is especially nice for children. Do ask for rooms facing the garden. I stayed in a room facing the main road and... More

This hotel is very nice, has old classic room with no air conditioner. The weather in Brastagi is very cold. I find myself looking for a blanket to sleep. Bathroom was nice, with 1 bath tub and 1 shower box (i forgot to take pic). The breakfast room located in underground, which can access by stairs. If you travel with... More

Stayed here for 1 night on the way to Lake Toba. From the exterior the hotel looks promising, but once inside, it was ridiculously old and run down. Management should drop the word "Grand" from the hotel name because it wasn't grand at all. Room was big but with outdated décor, peeling wallpaper, dead insects, etc. Doesn't look like it... More

I woke up in the morning and enjoy my room facing a nice view of Mount Sibayak and having my breakfast with a nice view of Mount Sinabung. At night, they provide one karaoke room to be rent as low as IDR 350k for one hour including 10 glasses of soft drink, some french fries and peanuts.

Took a school group of 13 year 10 students there. We were only there for 1 night but it was really good. The beds were comfortable. The weather was good because you're up in the mountains. They turn the hot water on from 6am-9am and 6pm-9pm but otherwise there's no hot water. So make sure you're around to shower then... More

The room was so comfortable that we slept like babies after a Long day from lake toba. The hotel surroundings were just right for many photoshoots. Don't miss out on the garden grounds and the gazebos. The place was full of greens and pretty flowers that were so deep in colors.

Stayed here for one night as part of a stopover while travelling from Bukit Lawang to Lake Toba. To be honest, this is probably the only reason you would stay here. Apparently there are fantastic views to be had but we couldn't see any due to the haze from Sumatra destroying it's beautiful rainforest. The hotel itself does indeed look... More
