We just returned from a trip to Bali and spent 5 nights at Batu Belah. Despite being on the otherwise dry east coast of the island, the hotel grounds are gorgeous. Flowers everywhere, green grass, and everything is manicured to perfection. The infinity pool is lovely, there were always lounges and umbrellas available, and the hotel provides the beach towels.... We went to this place for a few drinks, on recommendation of a TA member, and we were certainly not disappointed. Lovely pool area, great seaview, kind staff and beautiful restaurant. Just enjoyed some drinks here, had a look in the rooms, which looked very good. It is quite isolated, about 20 min. from Amed, but good for a quiet... More

Stayed there for 3 nights with friends. What a lovely place, secluded, with super friendly staff. A real little paradise. However the food is really not great and there is no other option around. It is really a let down. If the food was up to the level of the place, this resort would deserve a 5 out of 5.... More

Batu belah is such a lovely place to stay. We had 5 nights to enjoy paradise. My husband enjoyed diving the liberty, while relaxed. We noticed that things this time were a bit different ... Several things on the menu where not available and the resort needed some small work (eg taps in bathroom 3 needed replacing as I cut... More

After approx a 2.5 hour drive north up the east coast of Bali from Sanur you come across a wonderful little self contained resort called Batu Belah Bungalows and Restaurant. It is perched right on the coast looking down upon clean and clear water from a jagged lava stone shore. The rooms are modest but clean and spacious, the pool... More

Belated review. We stayed at Batu Belah for three nights over news year’s eve 2014 for a family reunion. We were two couples from New Zealand and Portugal. We were the only people at the resort which made it very special. The views from the restaurant and pool are stunning. Colin and Made are excellent hosts. Made’s cooking and particularly... More

This is a place to stay if you want to be off the beaten track. A small quiet resort of only a handfull of bungalows with a simple restaurant serving delicious food. The resort has an inviting infinity pool and excellent snorkling in the sea right in front of the resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was... More

We recently stayed in Sanur in a hotel suite, and in Ubud in two home stays, but the highlight of our trip was Batu Belah, about as far east in Bali as you can get without wetting your toes. Is is just a lovely location enhanced by lovely attentive staff and an on site restaurant and bar that is on... More

I recently stayed here for a few nights with my boyfriend and we loved the experience. Our private bungalow was perfect, simple but sweet with everything we needed (including air con). We enjoyed swimming in the pool and relaxing on the deck chairs and also snorkelling out the front of the hotel. Bantu Belah is a short drive to Tulamben... More
