So let's get the bad stuff out of the way first. Basically the Taman Ayu could do with a little bit of a spruce up. Obviously I have no obvious reference to the usual standard in Bali, with this being my first trip to the island, but the rooms (I was in a superior deluxe) were a bit downtrodden. There... More

I stayed here in March, I found the hotel, very comfortable. I love that it is a small , traditional Bali Hotel. There gardens are beautiful, and the restaurant serves good food, for a very cheap price. Drinks in the mini bar are cheaper than going out to the shop. Also food and drinks already have taxes added, so no... More

Really enjoyed our stay here.A great base to explore from..not totally in the hubub of Seminyak but close enough to walk to where the action is. First hotel in Bali I've been too where you didn't make a run to the Circle K to stock the bar fridge due to hotel prices for Bintang (for example) being cheaper to buy... More

We stayed in the superior double room. Room was a good size, bathroom was a bit shabby and needs a thorough clean, smelt a bit damp on entering but we soon got over it. Room was right next to the pool which I thought could be a problem for us with a 17month old toddler, but it was fine, he... More

When I walked into this hotel after midnight the gardens pool etc were lovely and I was impressed straight away. However when I walked into my room I was very disappointed. I had a deluxe room which by the way the toilet didn't flush so I had to move into another room in the morning. Both rooms were huge, and... More

The greatest asset is the friendly staff. The room was worn down with a bathroom where water flows back from the shower. Ok breakfast with good granola and yoghurt. All in all quite average, you get what you pay for. The next time we are in the area we would most likely spend a few more dollars and get a... More

Staying in the hotel now and for 3* this small Balinese hotel is great. Close to Potatoe Head, W Hotel, Biku, BAMBU, Sarong and Mersh Putih is next door. The staff here are exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble, from hiring a motorbike or making dinner reservations. We are staying in a super deluxe room which is large, crisp white... More

Stayed one week in this balinese style hotel with lovely gardens / pool. Rooms are comfortable and quite big. Location is central and passing transport by taxi is readily available in either direction. Staff are a delight friendly and helpful.

We stayed at the Taman Ayu for two weeks with our 8 month old baby in December and it was a lovely place. For the price we paid for our room the service was excellent and our room wasn't bad at all. Now obviously we went in aware that for paying $30 a night we would not be getting an... More

We recently stayed for two weeks and we have stayed here before in a villa. We actually booked the room while we were on an earlier holiday. We had a look at the deluxe rooms in a new wing which are lovely and we also asked about the super deluxe rooms. We were unable to see one as they were... More
