I had read all the reviews and thought all the pro's and con's where pretty much on the money. The hotel is very nice inside, but this is for couples that want to get away from the busy world of Bali, not young solo male like myself. Puri Madawi is located a long (relatively) way from the main street. (Big... More

Puri Madawi is quite a ride to find but once there it's fantastic. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff but certainly not imposing. With a beautiful, large pool, plenty of lounges and a little swim-up-to bar, it's easy to loll about and admire the lush gardens. There are not a lot of bungalows, about 6, and the same amount of... The staff are so wonderful, the breakfasts to die for, the location fantastic, the pool accessible and kid friendly and not populated by superficial Potato Head types. Perfect. Near the beach too. Great for families, rubbish for the vacuous.

Hi, we stayed here in 2012 and had a family of five. They accommodated for us with great service providing daily housekeeping to a messy room. The kids loved the pool and the butler always helped carry the sleeping children out of the car.. Now thats service... It is a bit out of the way but for peace a quiet... More

I can only assume this hotel isn't well known as it was so quiet, and for the money it should've been rammed. The place is spotless, breakfast great and bungalows are amazing! I didn't want to leave! The pool area is also lovely. The banana and chocolate sauce pancake at breakfast is to die for! Only downside is it is... More

We really enjoyed staying at this botique accommodation. The rooms were clean and nice. The pool area was great. We felt like we were the only ones here as it was so quiet and peaceful. We would definately stay here again.

This was our 12th trip to Bali - this time bought a group of friends instead of our children. Having a reasonable knowledge of Bali I was wanting to stay at a place that could provide our group with an escape from the hussle and bussle of Bali at the end of a busy day - Puri Madawi is exactly... Situated to the north of Seminyak this property is an ideal retreat from the hustle of the streets. It is probably too far away from the shops and restaurants to conveniently walk so hire yourself a motorbike and brave the chaos. We had a suite but with the upstairs/downstairs layout the single level bungalows are probably a better bet. The... More

We booked this 'boutique' through I-escape.com, which in the past had helped us find some amazing boutique hotels. Unfortunately this time we were disappointed. Rooms whilst clean and of a good size, are tired and require investment. A number of things did not work in the room on check in (safe, shower holder, slow draining shower) and strangely the taps... This place is for you if- - You want some peace and quiet - Don't mind being a little walk from shops/ restaurants (We had a motorbike and it was perfect) - Enjoy nice, fresh, Indonesian breakfasts and really friendly staff We stayed here in Jan 2013 for 3 nights and loved it. Simple, but beautiful Bali style design with... More
