Gorgeous old hotel home-stead style hotel with lovely quaint rooms. We stayed one night on a trip from Cape Town to The Wilderness at the beginning of the garden route. The rooms were small, but clean, and very charming. Gorgeous property. The restaurant was excellent, and the breakfast (included) was a heavenly table setting of delicious home baked breads and... Having read a few reviews, I don't get what others are seeing. I stayed there last night with my son. It was a last minute booking due to a change of plan. The owner, Nikki was wonderful. The food was good. The room was excellent, clean and considering it is very old it had been superbly updated. I've spent 2... More

The Old Mill Guest House definitely looks the part but our experience was let down by the lack of welcome/service and the food was definitely not as good as we'd had elsewhere in the Western Cape. When we arrived it was difficult to find a member of staff to assist us and we had to wait for one of the... More

We arrived here by accident and were shown three rooms that were available. My wife found it cute, so we decided to stay in the one nearest to the main-building. The room contains everything you wish for, in a one-night stay. Unfortunately the internet got affected by the heavy rain. The room itself was nice and spacious, but didn't have... More

We have stayed at the Old Mill on several occasions and always enjoy our stay. The big draw is the owner Nikki who is a lovely warm, friendly lady. Our suite, The Fig Tree comprised a sitting area, bedroom and bathroom. We also had our own courtyard. The suite was immaculately clean, had all amenities and was close to the main... More

While the guest house is very historical and quaint, it could do with some up grading. Our room was so dark that even with the lights on it was difficult to read. Privacy was also an issue as not all the windows had curtains and the door could barely be locked properly. The restaurant service was terrible as it took... More

this was our most remarkeble experience of our 15-days trip in S-africa !! Thanks to the guesthouse lady : Niki Van Rillaer ! Everything was special : the very good restaurant , the beautiful gardens ,but the lady of the house ! : she told us a lot about the African way of live : very educational ; and she... More

We had a night here on our drive to the garden route & were so happy we found it! You have to turn off the main road as your almost out of town, it's over the back. The cottage was very quaint with an open fire place & a cute little courtyard with wild roses, so pretty. The property is... More

We had dinner here since our guest house was next door and we didn’t want to drive. They were not very busy but the food, wine and service was very good. We had a combination plate with three different meats we had never tried before.

We chose this restaurant because was very closed to our guest house. It is located just outside the city centre along the main road, the atmosphere was good and the staff nice. The restaurant was empty but we waited a long time for a chicken fillet, and a basil pasta. The portions were good but the quality so and so.
