We staid there for a short trip to the Cape area. Most of the rooms are renovated! A friend stayed at nr. 4, brand new! Cool room! We stayed at one of the family suits and it was big, clean vintage style! No complains at all! Breakfast, cheese in the evening, although it was off duty time, was handled perfectly... More

I’m going to try and keep this constructive. Me and my mom went on holiday and stayed in 4 places, it was supposed to be 3 but since Zandberg was so bad we checked out. We did not want to end of our holiday there. Apart from being the most expensive place we stayed at R1200 per night it really... More

A second visit after a gap of seven years. The change of ownership and management has added to the already pleasing attractions of this property---renovations throughout, notably in the bathroom, It's B&B but close to the main entrance is the restaurant with a memorable name: 96 Winery Road. At present rates of exchange it would be foolish NOT to eat... More

I stayed in the guest house for the first time this year although have dined here 18 years ago while staying with friends in Somerset West. I have eaten in 96 Winery Road many times and the standard of both guest house and restaurant is exceptional. I look forward to a return visit from Scotland in the not too distant... More

My partner and I traveled throughout South Africa earlier this month, stayed at Zandberg for just one night, and were more than happy with our accomodations. Our spacious and beautiful room room opened up to a lovely private patio, where we watched the sun set and the starts come out. Our room, the estate, the region were all incredibly beautiful.... This was one of the best places we visited during our trip to SA. We've been upgraded to the honeymoon suit and it was fantastic. The staff was very friendly, breakfast was very good. I wish we could stay there longer. The food in the restaurant is fabulous.

We stayed at Zandberg in a vineyard cottage for one night. It was disgusting. The room is furnished in 1970's awful log furniture. Curtains are too short and do not close. Bad lighting inside ensures a very dark depressed area. My daughters slept in the loft. They were severely bitten by bedbugs. We paid R1200 for the night and it... More

My wife and I recently got married at Zandberg and every single guest at our wedding could not stop talking about what a magical experience it was. Zandberg is in the centre of the "valley" overlooking the Helderberg near stellenboch where some of the best wines come from. You are surrounded by mountains and lush greenery and the estate is...
