Absolutely loved the beach! The rooms were nice and clean, same as the bathrooms. Kitchen is small but you'll fine everything you need. They offer breakfast with smoothies, pancakes and so on. This place is truly a jewel as it is directly situated by the beach and it's perfect for surf lessons or long walks on the beach. At night... More

Stayed at Afrovibes for one Night during my garden route trip and it turned out to be my favorite backpacker, it is located beautifully, has great staff and the facilities were more than sufficient for a backpacker. really enjoyed the restaurants stone oven pizza which is by far the best one I've had in South Africa, as well as enjoying... We stayed here at end of December after Christmas. We were desperately looking forward to some peace and quiet after a year of stress. But what a massive disappointment! We cut our stay short, packed up our bags and went back home after 2 nights of hell. While I understand that this is budget accommodation, the website gives you a... More

Dear Zazabee, 1. Your first review in January 2014 was removed from TripAdvisor for breaching review protocol. Remember? 2. I find it abstract that you and your husband separately find it necessary to smear our reputation with twisted and over dramatic reviews. 3. Should you have been slightly more intelligent you would/should have expected that a quaint beach town such... More

The location was impressive: close to a beautiful beach. The rooms are simple but big and the beds are comfortable though the lining (towels and sheets) need to be washed more often. Apart from the acommodation the complex has got a very nice restaurant and sports center. People come there from all over the area. It's a pity that hooligans... More

Afrovibe has a great location - right at the dunes of a beautiful beach with a great hotel and restaurant next door. I loved the chilled out atmosphere here, the sound of the ocean and the quiet location. The bar was busy some nights and quiet on others. Rooms are very comfortable and clean, good bathrooms and good space for... More

Our stay at Afrovibe was amazing. We wish we could have stayed longer but I am definitely planning on going asap! The rooms are really clean and luxurious for a backpackers! There is a communal kitchen that you can use but they serve good food too! The staff are very welcoming and make you feel at home! It is located... More

We stayed in a private room for one night. Very basic but spotlessly clean and everything you need for a short stay. There was a TV with a few DSTV channels and a fridge. No coffee/tea facilities but there is a communal kitchen. Trystan is the manager there and is an exceptionally helpful and friendly Welshman. Everything was explained to... More

The staff know for sure how to give you the feeling this is your home. Right next to the lodge you... More

My volunteer group had an amazing time here as we ventured towards Cape Town. Amazing beach just in front, sand-floored bar, awesome activities, live entertainment, and amazing staff made our stay remarkable and memorable. Cannot wait to be back some day soon!

Stayed here while on an excursion of the Garden Route. Chuck the dog is a rock star, such a sweet dog. The wood fire pizza was scrumptious. I'm a vegetarian and the options available for me were amazing. Plus being right on the beach was phenomenal. Watching the sunset on the Indian ocean then walking thirty seconds back to my... More
