Stayed here for 1 night. BnB is clean, well presented and quiet (much like Sedgefield itself). Unfortunately, the Sedgefield Arms pub opposite was closed (maybe because it was a Sunday) but we found a decent place to eat dinner, down by the beach. There with leaflets in the BnB, with various walks indicated, and we went for a run down... More

Ian runs a beautiful BnB with incredibly comfortable rooms. He's extremely kind, and ready to help you however he can. Breakfasts are also DELICIOUS! I really like Sedgefield (almost prefer it to Knysna) as it's less touristy, but still have beautiful beaches, great sights, and a really fun river where you can float towards the ocean. All while being 15-20... More

If I could give Ian and the Pelican Lodge more than five stars I would! The Lodge is lovely, with park-like gardens, a pool, and pleasant outdoor seating. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed with modern fixtures in the bathrooms and wonderful showers. It is all exceptionally clean. Breakfast is served in a lovely dining room with indoor or... We had a few days in Sedgefield for rest and relaxation, and were incredibly comfortable at Pelican Lodge. I could not fault this establishment in any way. The rooms were comfortable and well furnished, and the breakfast superb.

Heard about this B and B by word of mouth. Room was very comfortable, well appointed with a small balcony. Breakfast was excellent. Ian, proprietor, was very helpful and knowledgeable regards surrounding area and activities. Sedgefield is a quiet and inviting town, nestled between Knysna and Wilderness, with about 20 minute drive to each. We stayed an extra night. Town... More

Definitely worth a stop over if you plan to visit the Sedgefield area on the Garden Route, South Africa. Rooms are exceptionally well appointed, clean and neat. There's also a great English style pub across the road, with great food and hospitality. Definitely a winning combination. Breakfast at the lodge was pretty awesome too... Definitely highly recommend this hospitable spot,... More

Four of us stayed at the Pelikan Lodge for three nights as a B&B in October 2014. We were warmly welcomed on arrival. The rooms were spotless, well appointed and had everything we could have needed. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms equipped with aircon or heating as required. The breakfast menu was well chosen and we were well... More

This is a great stop on the Garden Route. It has self catering as well as bed and breakfast. The room I had was small, but comfortable and a great shower. I slept well in the comfortable bed. Breakfast was great. The fruit salad was well presented; for the rest, eggs as you want it. The proprieter, Ian, and his... More

The lodge is personally supervised by the proprietor and the service was very friendly and efficient. The lodge is conveniently situated for the N2 but without any road noise. It is thus a very convenient stopover for a trip along the Garden Route. The rooms are well-appointed and the breakfasts of a very high standard.

This is the 4th time we have stayed in Pelican Lodge. The level of service remains consistently high. The delectable leisurely breakfast ensured a happy day. Congratulations on the recent renovations and upgrade of the bathroom. Loved the new style and convenience. Warm regards Nell and Dido
