What a great place to stay after a long trek across the Gt Karoo! We were greeted by Elsabe in a very warm and friendly manner. She made us feel most welcome and looked after us so well during our all too short stay of two nights. Her husband George and daughter also helped enormously in making our stay most... More

A lovely oasis in Prince Albert, set back from the main road so that there was no issue with traffic noise. The rooms and spacious bathroom are not fancy but the beds were wonderfully comfortable! We were sorry not to have time to just relax in the gardens for a while.Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and Elsabe and George... More

We had a one night stay at Prince Albert as part of our South African trip, its an interesting little town nestled on the edge of the Karoo, a lot of thought has gone into preserving some of the history and culture. We were made to feel very welcome at Karoo Lodge, and although we had booked dinner we were... More

We spent one night at Karoo Lodge on our way to PE. Stunning place, enjoyed the pool in the December heat. Stunning rooms with everything we needed and a filling breakfast. Definitely a place to recommend whenever you drive through Prince Albert.

Decided to take a leisurely trip to Cape Town rather than the normal rush~ what a great little town and surroundings, and the Karoo Lodge is definitely the place to stay in PA - great rooms, gardens and settings, highly recommended! The silence whilst sleeping was in fact deafening after coming from the big city, we loved it and will... More

A fine stay, albeit for one night. George and his family are consumate hosts. A flawless stayover and we enjoyed the pool. Very nice dinner @66 and an equally good breakfast. Would love to return if we find ourselves in the valley again.

We needed an overnight stop on our way from Cape Town to the Karoo / Eastern Cape and luckily found this gem. Centrally positioned along the main road but set way back to offer peace and quiet, an extremely comfortable and well kept B&B, enthusiastically owned & managed by Elsabe. Large bedroom with plenty of space and a veranda on... More

Great hosts. The rooms were spacious and well kitted out. We had dinner and breakfast in the lodge's dining room. Both meals were tasty and cooked to perfection. To top it all we did not have to pay the whole amount up front. We recommend Karoo Lodge to anyone

Stayed for one night, very good location to walk around the town. Owners very helpful and friendly and retained a good sense humour when trying to put up travel cot for our 21 mth old, which was a struggle. Food was good, with some nice choices on the menu, breakfast also fine. Rooms nice with outside seating, and lovely gardens... More
