After the scenic trip through Meiringspoort we arrived hot and dusty at our lodgings for the night. Set in a tranquil garden oasis with a refreshing swimming pool, we were warmly greeted by our hosts Regina and Dick who couldn't do enough to make our stay a plea sent one. We'll be back!

From the street it looks a nice old bungalow, but much too small to house many guests. However, we were led through a homely lounge to the back of the house where we stepped in a beautiful fairy tale garden with a number of cottages. Ours was furnished in a comfortable old colonial style, with a fourposter bed with mosquito... More

As wonderful as ever. Dick and Regina have a lovely guest house in this little town. It's always a must on our 6 week trip of South Africa each year. We usually stay for 5 or 6 nights in The Victoria Room and love every minute. The rooms in the lovely garden are perfect...large, comfortable beds, beautifully furnished ,quiet, birdsong... More

Our second visit to this delightful guest house. Prince Albert is a wonderful place to visit. Dick and Regina make you feel at home and very welcome. Breakfast is very sociable as the owners take time to introduce the guests to each other. Accommodation is lovely and set in a beautiful garden. Will be back.

We just love to stay over @ Saxe Coburg Lodge. We found the place in 2012 and came back twice. The hosts are friendly and entertaining, the cottages cozy and homely and the garden a real oasis in the desert. We love the breakfast - lots to choose from and served with a warm smile. We'll be back for sure

This will be our 3rd stay at Saxe Coburg. The property has a lovely garden and pool and our room, a pool room, has a massive terrace, bedroom, sitting room, small kitchen and bathroom. The owners are a delight and we feel like personal friends when we stay with them. The breakfast is good, served on the terrace of the... More

At about $100 American dollars, we found the pool suite to be much more expensive than for similar accommodation (which has averaged $65) during our travels in ZA. The pretty cottages are clean and the bed comfortable. There are mosquitos and of course no window screens, but mosquito netting over the bed. There is a lovely garden and pool. Security... More

More than anywhere else where I stayed, I felt that I was in a couple's home here. And what charming people. The rooms are at the end of the large garden, past the swimming pool, which makes for an excellent setting. Prince Albert is a lovely small place, with a very plesant air to it. I then went over the... More

I stayed three nights at this beautiful Lodge. My self-contained suite was luxurious, overlooking the garden and pool, and well-furnished. The bed was very comfortable with top quality bed linen. The gardens are beautifully kept and breakfast was delicious. Regina and Dick are such good hosts, full of information about the area and places to visit, and I heartily recommend... More
