We spent three nights in Prince Albert as the "third leg" of our five leg, three week tour of southern South Africa (Cape Town, Fransschoek, Prince Albert, Knysna and finally Kwande game reserve). I suppose Prince Albert was the "wild card" in what would otherwise have been a typical itinerary but in many ways it turned out to be the... More

We stayed in Deudrift cottage; the cottage was spacious and clean and had a/c which was nice because it was very hot. We were shown to our cottage, which was a short drive, not a walk, away and given the keys and were told, "see you on Monday " which was two days away. Prince Albert completely closes after 12... Absolutely loved Akkedis cottage!! Stunning old farm cottage type, refurbished with authentic local style, great air cons, lovely bath rooms and so comfortable!! Very helpful staff. Pity the pool is not working, that would be the prefect finish. Absolutely ideal for myself, wife and 2 kids, will definitely be back!!!

We stayed in Deurdrift Cottage 1 for a weekend and found the accommodation to be beautiful. The only negative side would be that the cottage is more geared towards a summer break. We found the cottage to be very cold. We were supplied with water bottles but unfortunetly one of the water bottles had a leak in it which resulted... More

Stayed here recently and waas very impressed with the conversions of the buildings and the central location in town. You can walk eve\rywhere but it still feels like you are in the country. Had a great dinner in town as well so all in all, we can recommend both the town and ARC for a nice stay

We stayed at Bid Huisie, a lovely self- catering cottage with 2 bedrooms. The staff were friendly and helpful checking us in. Although the cottage on the outskirts of the village, it still is within walking distance from the main attractions. We were there over Easter weekend which was a cool and wet weekend so couldn't use the little pool... More

Deurdrift 2 is a conversion of an old property into a pair of semi-detached cottages, located quietly just off the main street with private parking. It has been updated in all the important areas but maintains its period charm. Cool inside, with effective air con, it was a welcome oasis in the 40 degree heat of the Karoo. There is... More

We stayed in Deurdrif 1 and must say it was a wonderful surprise. The setting is fantastic and the fact that you can walk anywhere you needed to go made the stay even more enjoyable. The cottage was really cool and a nice retreat from the heat. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with everything that one needed to self... More

We occupied the Deurdrift cottages during New Year, and found them absolutely charming and beautiful. Lovely and cool during the heat of the day, elegantly appointed and kitchens that have more than enough of everything in terms of crockery and cookware. Really enjoyed staying here!

Stayed in the Deurdrift cottages and it was totally cool. And I mean cool and the ex-temp as pushing 50. Very central to the town and for such a small town there is a lot to do.
