Stayed here recently for 3 nights as part of our 31st anniversary celebrations. The room was perfect and overlooked the beach no complaints here at all. Decided to eat at the hotel that first evening..........what a mistake, we were on the patio first, waited 35mins before anyone came near us, then the wrong drinks were brought out, we were moved... Rolled into Hout bay looking for a good seafood meal and ended up at the Chapmans peak Hotel because of the large patio that overlooks the bay and gives you a great sundown. Get there at 5PM and settle down for a 2 to 3 hour meal. If it gets cold go into the pub or the lounge depending on... More

A group of us stayed recently, including the Penthouse suite, and I must stay, I cannot fault the rooms. We all had sea view rooms and they were beautiful, modern and clean. A very comfortable stay! Where I did feel the hotel fell down was in service. We ate a few times for dinner at the restaurant, and the service... More

This a lovely hotel overlooking the beach and bay, which is quite beautiful! The rooms are very nice and of a high standard. Unfortunately the main road runs in front of the hotel which makes the rooms very noisy when having the balcony doors open. One does not hear the traffic when the doors are closed. The staff are really... More

Looking for a reasonably-priced single-night stay in or near Cape Town recently, we opted for one of the 'old' rooms in the original part of the Chapman's Peak Hotel. We had tried one of their penthouse suites a few years ago, and found it lovely, but pricey for just one night. The old rooms at the back of the hotel,... More

There should be a rating between average and very good for this one. It's in an amazing spot and offers some recently and nicely refurbished accommodation. The food is average though and the front patio (which has the best position and viewspots) could really do with an upgrade too. The conference room used was average - had the basics of... More

We have always visited the hotel for Calamari and decided to stay on this trip and were not disappointed. The rooms are large, clean, modern and have great views. the staff were friendly, efficient and very helpful just what you want when you are on holiday. Wifi was free and had fantastic consistent connection.

This is how hotels should be: clean, efficient, lovely staff, excellent food, modern decor and rooms, great wifi ( a big plus in SA where wifi at hotels seems patchy at best) excellent view ( I had an ocean view room), access to the beach, good mix of locals and international guests and secure parking. Having stayed in a number... More

Making the reservation was effortless and staff responded efficiently via email. All my queries prior to arrival were answered in a timely manner. I had a mountain view room, which was quite large, clean, quiet and had a comfortable bed. There is ample parking below the hotel. Wifi signal in the room was good. The price was reasonable and included... More

Just had one night here .. Accomodation amazing with sea view over Sentinel peak, rooms comfortablle.. Lovely linen bedding and amazing bathroom. Even had calamari and squid starter, although we were going to dinner party later.. Best in the world! Looks a bit old wordish from the outside, but really wonderful! Fireplaces cosy and huge breakfast.
