A rush of blood to the head led me to look to staying in Hout Bay for 1 night while on a business trip to Cape Town. I usually stay in the CBD or southern suburbs for convenience. A beautiful "plantation" house reveals a unique, comfortable, relaxing B&B. B&B seems far too 'down-home' to describe Frogge"s Leap though. I stayed... More

With taste decorated hillside house with large veranda, where a superb breakfast is served. Comfortable bedrooms (the best mattresses we experienced during our trip) with well functioning bathrooms. Beautiful view over Houtbaai. Good located for trips to the Waterfront, Cape Town or Kalk Baai. Nice hosts, that give you all the help and information necessary

I have stayed here whilst on business/ downtime three times in the last two years. The owners Stewart and Joke cannot be more welcoming, friendly and helpful. The rooms are well decoratd and equipped, extremely clean and some have great views of Hout Bay. The breakfasts are legendary and the staff are also great.

We had in this lovely place one of the few rooms with great view over HoutBay. The owners are very helpfull. But they forgot our booking, So the first night we slept in the studio downstairs, which was dark and a bit noisy. But forget that, we had a great stay here. The rooms are clean, spacious and very beautiful... More

Spent a long-weekend in Hout Bay and stayed at Froggs Leap. It had everything we needed and then some. Perfect hosts who made us feel very at home and their two lady staff were happy and helpful, as well as efficient. Accommodation was excellent and the breakfasts exceptional. We will return!

A very warm welcome from Steward and Joke that we felt immediately at home. We enjoyed wonderful 3 days in this with love decorated Accomendation with highest Service level like a 5 Star Hotel. Rooms are also in excellent conditions with very comfortabel Beds in a silent neighbourhood! The Breaksfast every morning is the highlight and guarantees a perfect start... More

Just back from two amazing weeks in ZA. We stayed in 6 different b & bs in the Western Cape. They were all officially rated 4* and were indeed all good to very good - but Froggs Leap is in a different league! Great room with inspiring views, a breakfast which would grace a luxury hotel, served with real style... More

We stayed 3 nights at Froggs Leap, we loved it. Joké and Stewart are lovely hosts and the place is clean, beautiful and calm. That was a great start of our tour Cape Town to P.E. and we will definitely come back! Thanks!!!

I was booked in the "studio" but I found it too noisy . My stay wasn`t relaxing at all: The studio is located on a garage roof at the begining of a hill. There is quite a lot of traffic passing by. All the traffic has to accelerate their motors due to the beginning of a steep hill. The traffic... More

This is our tenth stay @ Froggs Leap after 13 trips to South Africa so you could say we are somewhat enamoured with its charm. As with most of the places I review in South Africa, the reason we keep going back is the genuine and wholehearted welcome we receive from the hosts. It is not so much going on... More
