We stayed in "Angelika", the largest house, with 3 adults and four kids and it was plainly terrific. Plenty of space, heartily welcome by Mark, just around the corner from Cape Town, nice pool, car required, plenty to see and explore in the area!

Travelling with three little children can be somewhat of an adventure to say the least but in The Tarragon we found the perfect home away from home to make any holiday in this beautiful city as relaxed and care-free as possible. The cottage provided ample of space, was clean and homely. The grounds were beautiful and Mark and his wonderful... More

This was our first long haul trip with our 3 and 1 yr old. After a sleep deprived overnight flight I almost cried when we arrived at The Tarragon and our accommodation Angelica. Huge lounge, straight onto veranda, amazing valley views, lush garden, koi ponds and serene pool. Kids have DVDs, Lego, toys, buckets and spades as well as the... More

Fast becoming my home from home. The Tarragon is unquestionably the most tranquil place to stay in Hout Bay away from the busy roads and noise of other areas. The views down the valley are fantastic and the gardens, pool and overall design just create a relaxing atmosphere. The owners could not be more helpful and flexible and go above... More

My family stayed at The Tarragon for 2 weeks in February. The cottages are lovely, spacious and exceptionally clean. They are well equipped. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The grounds are lovely and it is set in a beautiful location. A car is necessary to get around and there are some amazing places to visit. The owners, Mark... More

Coming back to Hout Bay after 3 years and luckily we had booked a cottage at The Tarragon. We loved it from the first moment! Overlooking the valley with a wonderful garden and heated pool, all very nicely arranged, it was a perfect location for our familiy. Hout Bay is a perfect location to explore the nearby attractions as Kirstenbosch... More

The fact that I've stayed four times at The Tarragon says it all really. Never been back to a place so much and I'm sure I'll be back again. It is about perfect and it feels like I've home when I visit.

I was lucky enough to snag a booking at The Tarragon for my daughter and son-in-law visiting from the U.S., and I now have discovered a gem, centrally located to all points in the Cape Town area. Being a resident of Hout Bay, I can say that the location is within easy reach of the City Bowl and Waterfront, Atlantic... More
