After having stayed at an amazing B&B in Cape Town, we were not impressed with Lavande! Sadly we were misled by their very-well designed website. We stayed 2 nights at this bed and breakfast in November 08 and were very impressed with the beautiful decor and spaciousness of the Green Room. The owner, Don, was friendly and very helpful, offering us tips as first time visitors to Franschhoek. We would definitely recommend this property to people looking for a quiet location near to the village... more

The property has a few rooms. We were in franschoek during the low season and were the only people in the hotel. There is no one present at the hotel apart from any other guests in the night. It´s also a bit out of main road in Franschoek so was a bit lonely. Other than that it´s a beautiful place... more

We stayed at the Lavande de Franschhoek guest house in December 2007 and had a truly relaxing break. The guest house is about 1.5 miles from Franschhoek town itself which is a gourmets paradise - a street of fantastic restaurants all offering fantastic cuisine.
