Chanteclair is set in a stunning location against a backdrop of vineyards & mountains. It is one of the most picturesque places I have ever stayed in the world and I found myself reaching for my camera everytime I walked around the property grounds, which include a small lake, swimming pool & sun lounger area, woods, vineyards and an orchard... We spent the first 2 nights of our honeymoon here and it was beautiful. After 24 hours of travelling we were gagging for a massage when we arrived and Bruce had it arranged almost instantly. Lovely breakfast, views and cracking helpful hosts.

We stayed for just one night at the end of a big road trip around the Cape, garden route and Karoo and it was simply blissful. The biggest plus was the welcome from the managers, Linda and Bruce, who were just so warm and welcoming and from the ever friendly night security guard, John. It was a cool autumn evening... More

L'Auberge Chanteclair is situated on the edge of the beautiful town of Franschhoek in the Cape Winelands. There are a great many beautiful guest houses in and around the town but, from our experience, it would be difficult to beat this one. It is located on a small vine growing estate and, as we found from the complimentary glass on... More

We had previously stayed in town but the setting here is hard to beat. The gardens are beautiful and there is a vineyard attached from which there are excellent wines available to enjoy. Our room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, with antique furniture, and with views over the garden to the mountains beyond! The bathroom was perfectly clean but... More

Visited this beautiful guest house in the Franshhoek valley, where we stayed in quite magnificent accommodation, quietly but very efficiently managed by Bruce and Linda, charming hosts. Views from our veranda "to die for" and if you are in South Africa even for a short time, this is one guest house you must visit.

Bruce and Linda were first class hosts at this delightful Guest House. They could not have been more helpful and they together with their team run a spotlessly clean, well maintained operation. Set in a lovely tranquil garden with mountain and vineyards views. We have already booked for next year!

Linda and Bruce are most charming hosts, our accommodation in The Studio was private, elegant and comfortable, surroundings are beautiful and breakfast is delicious. What more can I say to recommend this enchanting B and B! We spent 3 nights in Franschhoek and could have had another night or two. The wineries in the area are delightful, as are those... More

The moment you are greeted by Bruce and Linda you feel at home. It is quite impossible to fault anything about this little gem with a lovely garden and wonderful views in every direction. The rooms are most tastefully furnished with great attention to detail (we were in Syringa with a lovely terrace looking over the garden). The only little... More

Had a great stay here and was well looked after by Linda, Bruce and Jack (sorry - never did find out the cat's name). Great advice on restaurants and wineries to visit and were very helpful at making reservations on your behalf including taxis. The breakfast is very good and even braved a plunge in their outdoor pool (well it... More
