We stayed for 4 nights, the room and bathroom were huge and immaculate ! We were on the ground floor of the newer annex and therefore also and a beautiful veranda overlooking the beautiful garden. The innkeepers were very helpful in assisting with recommendations and bookings for restaurants and a horse riding tour of the vineyards that was on our... More

Staying for 3 nights is just about perfect in terms of time in Franschoek. We'd booked some time ago so were able to bag (in my view) the best room in the house - which was upstairs in the modern and beautifully situated new property. Views were over the well maintained gardens and pool to the mountains beyond. Very peaceful... More

We stayed here for 2 nights while touring Franschoek and the surrounding wine country. Its a great spot with very friendly and helpful owners. Rooms were just fine and very modern and clean with all of the necessary amenities. We would return.

Very nice stay, rooms spotlessly clean, venue exceptionally well run, close to Main Street in franschhoek, shower really large in standard room. Breakfasts very tasty and lots of coffee to drink. Hosts are exceptionally friendly and always there to provide info. Highly recommended venue, not sorry we booked there.

I chose this guesthouse as I needed to cut back on costs for our holiday, following a few days at a more expensive place in Cape Town. I expected it to be nice but basic, so was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of Plumwood, it's lovely! They have great attention to detail and you will be very comfortable here.... More

Fantastic boutique hotel. Roel & Lucienne were the perfect hosts, supplying information and help but discreet. The luxury room (8) overlooking the pool had everything and a lovely balcony overlooking the second pool and breakfast room. Great breakfast, so many choices on the buffet, followed by a hot breakfast of your choice. We only stayed two nights, definitely not long... More

Third stay in as many years, tried to book in previous years but we discovered it soon gets booked up.. so book early! Nothing original to add to the many positive reviews posted here. The high standards of comfort and care are maintained by the friendly and helpful hosts Roel & Lucienne, together with their staff. Excellent guesthouse and a... More

In common with many of the other guests, we were returnees to Plumwood this year. We came back because we were impressed by the comfort and service and nothing has changed on that front. The 11 rooms are spread between 2 contemporary villas and the original house. The house rooms are more traditional and the villas feature modern rooms with... More

The Plumwood Inn is a fantastic place to stay in Franschoek. You will find very welcoming hosts, a beautiful room, lovely pool area and wonderful breakfasts. We were particularly impressed with all the little added touches to make our stay more special- umbrellas left outside our door as we woke up in the morning when it was a little drizzly,... More

Stayed three nights to explore the wine area. An excellent location, very short walk to the high street yet it's location was very peaceful and quiet. Raoul and Lucienne were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were clean and comfortable and all the staff, without exception were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were superb and... More
