We had a fantastic stay at Les Chambres during the Bastile weekend festival. After a pleasant but freezing cold night out it was great to "come home" to a roaring log fire, a glass of port and some very mature cheddar we had picked up at a stall during the day. Thanks to Bill and Sandy for a great weekend. more

The great thing about Les Chambres is that it is of a high standard and professional, yet extremely homely and friendly at the same time. My wife and I had a wonderful time in Franschoek. I would definitely stay at Les Chambres again, as it felt as if I was in a Hotel, yet still at home. Thanks Bill and... more

Walking into Les Chambres is like stepping into a haven of tranquility with beautiful gardens and lovely rooms. Our room was large and spacious with a great en suite with separate cast iron bath. The rooms don't have a TV or stereo but this is part of the "get away from it" charm and there is a large TV in... more

We stayed for 2 nights over Easter and found everything to be of a very high standard, as reported in previous reviews. A peaceful haven in a busy village. Restaurants were booked for us in advance, so great service. We were even given an Easter Egg on Easter Sunday, which was so unexpected, and sums up the thoughtfullness of the... more

Great B&B to stay for a couple of nights whilst exploring Franschhoek and surroundings. Comfortable rooms, friendly owners who can recommend (and book tables at) restaurants, tours etc. Close to the main street, so no need to take the car when you go out for dinner. Good breakfast and small pool complete the package. Recommended. more

It was this stunning old Victorian guest house that provided Claire and I with the most perfect start to our holiday. Les Chambres is located within one block of the main road, this ensures within easy walking distance of the many beautiful shops and superb restaurants. It is amazing that Les Chambres makes you a feel like that you are... more

This guest house is really lovely, great location, wonderful gardens, quiet yet a few minutes walk from the restaurants and shops of Franschhoek. Rooms are very comfortable, no TV or fridge but there is a charming lounge where you can watch TV and a shared fridge on the veranda. I have to echo another reviewer's comment about the hosts, who... more

Wonderfull house, rooms, patio, pool and other tiny details that made our stay so pleasant! Great hospitality and always helpful since the first email. Really close to centre, you can walk all over the village without needing your car, and that's great since you'll probably be drinking wonderfull wine all day! more
