This is without doubt an amazing place. Small enough to make it feel like you are in your own home, but rooms big enough to make it feel very spacious. the service was great, the staff really friendly and the location brilliant. I would advise getting your taxi's/walking because the ones arranged by the lodge can be quite expensive given... More

Franschoek is a wonderful quaint little burg in the cape wine route. This was the splurge of our trip and we were pleased at every turn. The location is relatively central (although that's not so important in a town) yet still peaceful. Perfect for ventures to the various wineries in the area. The staff positively dotes on you and seemingly... More

After staying two nights in Stellenbosch we wanted to stay another two nights in Franschhoek to see the difference between the two places and experience their wines and food. The Hotel was very nice and we got a very warm welcome from Conrad when we got there. Our suite was huge with separate patio, bathroom and sitting area. He helped... More

Small, boutique hotel up your street? The last word wastes no opportunity to make you feel entirely pampered and spoilt. When we arrived they had already booked us a table somewhere ( le bon vivant) and were greeted by the friendliest faces in South Africa. After our dinner we returned to...well, book a room there and see. Wouldn't want to... More

We chose this accommodation based on the Trip Advisor reviews. Within short walking distance to the restaurants and excellent shopping, it is ideally located. Although on the main road the accommodation is quiet and private. The king room we stayed in was well laid out with full bath and separate shower, all part of one room but that was no... More

We spent two nights here to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. It was the perfect choice. At the end of the main street running through Franschoek, it is in walking distance to everything this delightful little town offers. The room was tastefully decorated, bed comfortable and the en-suite totally luxurious (great double bath and large shower). There was also a... More

Stayed the nights at the start of my South African adventure. Great beginning! Lovely intimate hotel. Superb location. Stunning food and staff who really cared. Franschhoek is a wonderful little town surrounded by great vineyards and scenery. This hotel must rank as one of the bt in the area. The tasting menu and the wines that went with the meal... More

My husband had booked this hotel the 'old fashioned way', ie briefly checked out Tripadvisor and then just booked on the telephone. So we had not seen the web site and didnt have any particular expectations - well apart from knowing that SAR4500 would mean we could expect something rather OK. However, arriving at this gem of a hotel we... More

Just stayed here for 3 nights but it was wonderful. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is decorated beautifully. There is no restaurant but plenty of places nearby and the hotel has a free bar! The rooms are really stunning and nice and quiet. The pool is small but as the hotel only has 6 rooms... More

This was the second hotel on a two week trip. I would have liked to stay longer at this fantastic small hotel. It was the best experience ever. Fantastic staff who make your stay very special. Rooms brilliant. Excellent location for all amenities in this lovely town.
