Best bit about this hotel - views are incredible and rooms huge (we had library room 7). Huge comfy bed and room was more like a little cottage with a separate lounge and private pool. Breakfast was nothing special though and service was less personal than some other places we visited. Nice touch with bottle of fizz upon arrival. Don't... More

Thank you for your valuable review, we appreciate the feedback we get and try as best we can to respond. Our breakfasts are generally very well received and we feel being the most important time of the day, special attention needs to be given to them. Yes the views are great however we insist that we don't take this for... More

This little boutique hotel was charming and perfect for a weekend exploring the Winelands. The property has a spectacular view and the wine cellar tour given by the owner was delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine, restaurant and accommodations. The location is perfect, only about a mile from town and the front desk will call a car for you.

We were recommended this place by a South African friend that was getting married, we were unaware of the popularity of its restaurant and since we stayed for a couple of days we were fortunate enough to book lunch with friends, let me start by saying that its a wonderful place, although the front desk and kitchen have rather quirky... I wanted to end our trip to South Africa on an elegant lush note, so I booked my husband and I, as well as our 16 month old toddler, 2 nights at La Petite Ferme. We arrived at the Petite Ferme at 4 pm, and we were informed that the kitchen closes at 4 pm every day. My poor husband... More

Small winery, with restaurants and a few rooms. If you have the opportunity, do stay for one or two nights and take the Vista rooms, with amazing view over the vineyard and valley, it is definitely worth the bit of extra money. The room includes a fireplace and private pool. Also great for the colder days! The winery also does... More

On recommendation from a family member we went for the magical drive to La Petite Ferme. Although it was a rainy day the views were fenominal and once we were reseated in the warmth of the main area because we did not book in advance we could have our meal. The starter of the soup of the day (Lentil &... More

This is a very pretty boutique style hotel. In the main building you find the restaurant and bar. The various types of accommodation are scattered around the rest of their land. The old manor house houses 4 suites, and these suites share a pool. They have fantastic views and each suite is individually styled. We had managed to extend our... More

This place is picture perfect - the winery is graced with a little troop of baboons, but they don't interfere with guests or diners. The food here is great, and you definitely need to book a tour of the vineyard. The grounds are quite stunning - all the rooms seem to have either a private plunge pool or a shared,... More

Spent a few days in La Petite Ferme while on honeymoon in South Africa. It was not the original place we were meant to stay in Franschoeck but there had been flooding in the town so moved here. What a great choice that was. From the moment we arrived it was a great experience! Our suite had a private pool... More

We stayed in the bridal suite which had the most wonderful view of the vineyards and the mountains which was a very tranquil setting where we relaxed and simply just absorbed the beauty of the area. The private patio was a lovely sunny spot and the winter days were really glorious spent just absorbing the loveliness of it all. The... More
