We spent 2 nights in la petite ferme and rented a lakeside lodge. The kitchen was fully equiped. The view on the valley is really nice. The breakfast was perfect, scambled eggs with salmon, home made cream cheese and muesli. We also wade a cellar tour and a wine testing with the owner of la petite ferme. He had a... More

I have come here year after year for some or other special event, I adore their fresh salads from vegetable grown on the estate, I love the wine tour and donation bottle of their best Cabernet Sauvignon last time, then the dilemma of having to choose what to eat, as there are so many choices which one just cannot resist,... I really like Franschhoek, the vineyards, the scenery, the wine, the restaurants, the lodges.... That is why we keep on returning, however we have yet to find a place that really satisfies me. The Petite Ferme website made me think we would be right in the middle of the vineyards and you could strole around in them. This was not... More

This place was recommended by friends of Australia. Really pleased we went. Nice and quiet. Wine tasting was good and educational with lots of questions. Wild life was fun have the the baboons around us and we being in the cage,so to speak! Staff were excellent and helpful to all problems sorted. Pleasant township. Two Aussies x

We had lunch at the Petit Ferme and also stayed in one of the lodges (across the road from the main part of the building) and both were excellent. The food was very good, but the views while you eat are unbelieveable . We had wanted to stay in the main building but due to availability we couldn't do we... More

There is restaurant seating indoors, on a covered verandah or under the trees in the garden. The decor is not up to the prices charged but that said, the food is very good. Portions are small but adequate, meaning one has room for a desert. The menu is small (which to my mind assures freshness of produce) but has a... More

Heard lots of good reports on this place and would agree with all I was tod. It only does lunch but such a good lunch that it ensures you don't need a dinner. We started with their own Rosé Sparkling and proceeded to White Viognier followed by Their own Cabernet Franc which were wonderful. Wevhad assortment of Starters, Mains and... More

This is a quaint little place (expect families and retirees) in desperate need of a renovation. The decore can best be described as shabby chic however the fabulous view and great service goes part way to making up for it. The menu is standard for this low/mid range restaurant and well executed without any fan fare on the plate. Service... More

We stayed at Le Petite Ferme as part of a self drive tour of the cape for our 25th wedding anniversary. For us the location was magical with stunning views over the vineyards towards the mountains. We only stayed a couple of nights and didn't really have the time to eat here. They only do lunch and we prefer to... More
