Such a beautiful location, but the service left us feeling cold. The staff make this large hotel really feel impersonal. Any requests is met with borderline rudeness. I just feel sorry for the few who are trying like the friendly doorman. The restaurant only had margarine no butter available.

The hotel is lovely, set in the winelands with beautiful views. Location is perfect and we had a lovely balcony room overlooking the pool and gardens. I was disappointed with the service in the hotel, it isn't poor but certainly doesn't match the price of the hotel. There are plenty of choices in the area where price and service do... More

This is a beautiful hotel set in the winelands. My wife and I spent a long weekend at this hotel. The rooms were large and very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious. Private patios in the room had great views of the nearby mountains. We only had breakfasts at the restaurants. There was a nice variety for breakfast and the... More

I was very impressed by the hotel design and the beautiful surrounds but not the service. The reception and staff did not greet unless we initiated it. The breakfast menu wasn't placed on each and every table. Only on the morning of our departure, we saw the menu placed on one of the tables positioned inside. The Camelot Spa Therapists... More

Stayed here recently for two nights and would highly recommend the hotel. It's a very well appointed and maintained hotel in a beautiful setting. I had a large, clean, comfortable room with excellent facilities and a great little balcony overlooking the hotel gardens with the towering mountains in the background. On the first night we had a good meal from... More

A stunning property in a beautiful location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely gardens and great pool! Ideal location to explore Franschoek or just stay and chill out. Best rooms on first floor with balcony. Located about ten minutes drive from the town. Hotel will arrange transport to local restaurants if you decide to eat out.

A spacious, well-appointed, comfortable hotel set on a slope amongst oak trees with a spreading view of the Franschhoek mountains. The interior decoration is skilfully muted to enhance relaxation. Multiple shades of taupe! The bedrooms are cool grey, roomy, with well chosen furniture. The extensive lounge-bar area has a mixture of cream, white and brown, with plenty of seating -... More

We spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is superb and just five. Invites drive form the centre of town. The views are excellent. The hotel is itself nice to look at, the gardens are wonderful and well maintained, our room was spotlessly clean, the facilities in it were excellent as were those in all of the... More

I stayed here in Oct and then again Nov last year, bit late doing my reviews. The location of this hotel is beautiful, with great views of the mountains, especially from the Vinyard suites. But note it is a 5 min drive or 30 min walk out of the village. The rooms are great, bathrooms excellent. I had a big... More

We booked with a deal on Agoda so it was $170 for the room plus breakfast which was amazing. The first room had lots of broken lights so it was too dark to read. The First Lady at the desk was not very helpful and also the wifi was not working, but the next manager Wendy was great and upgraded... More
