This was disappointing. Reception staff were not friendly when we checked in ( to business like) booked the restaurant on the 1st night but we were not advised that we were the only people using the restaurant and it therefore lacked ambiance. Bedroom was very cold as we were not advised on the heating arrangements we also ran out of... More

My wife and I recently stayed over at FCH. From the moment we arrived until we left we were extremely impressed by the service, the attention to detail and the general ambience. The spa treatments were probably the best I have ever experienced and the dinner at Monneaux restaurant was excellent. Recommended without reservation, will definitely visit again.

Very central location on the main room, only minutes away from great restaurants, the town and close to lots of wine estates. Comfortable and warm rooms with fireplace and underfloor heating. You do need a vehicle to get around but the hotel does organize shuttles to all the restaurants as well. Breakfast is adequate but we preferred to eat at... More

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of a busy trip taking in Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and Cape Town. It was just what we needed! Peaceful, beautiful grounds & surrounding scenery, lovely food & wine. The hotel buildings are pretty & well kept as was our room. The breakfast room is bright and airy and breakfast is excellent. Lunch... More

Stayed one night here upon my arrival in South Africa. Beautiful location and the rooms were fabulous. Though I Had a standard room it was separate bedroom from living room and a gigantic bathroom. The grounds and pool area were lovely. Had dinner and breakfast there and both were very good. I would stay there again!

I had a lovely one-night stay at this hotel over the weekend, and it comes very close to an "excellent" vote. However, not quite. For one, the location means you cannot simply stroll to the centre of Franschhoek to visit the shops, cafes and restaurants. You have to either walk for quite a while, or drive and find parking, or... More

This classic boutique hotel is nestled in the Franschoek valley surrounded by wine farms. The grounds are delightful, peaceful and create an atmosphere of old English charm. The service is excellent, the staff friendly and helpful and having breakfast looking out on the mountains surrounding Franschoek is the perfect way to start the day.

Franschhoek Country House complements the surrounding wine country with picturesque grounds that create a serene, peaceful experience. The villas feature a rather large bedroom, along with a separate large bathroom and living area. If you like to enjoy making the most of a hotel experience, this is for you. Franschhoek Country House offers a small, but heated pool, lush grounds,... More

A mix of modern and classic boutique hotel surrounded by a delightful wine estate. The restaurant on the premises has a very high quality. The rooms are tastefully decorated with luxurious items from bed linen to bath products. The environment is quiet and unbelievably relaxing with a fabulous koi pond in the middle. Don't make the mistake of staying only... More

Beautiful classic boutique hotel within walking distance of the heart of Franschhoek. Amazing restaurant adjacent and a breakfast to write home about. Large spacious villa room with a upstairs lounge area. We loved it.
