Le Quartier Francais is right in the quaint town of Franschhoek--a wonderful winelands choice. Full of charm, beautiful grounds, and our room was huge and gorgeous. Their fine dining space was closed on the one day we were there (a Monday) but their more casual room was lovely and open air, with great food. Good wine tastes even better in... More

I cannot say enough about this gorgeous bed and breakfast/boutique hotel. The owner and her staff do everything right! The decor is amazing, modern, comfortable and elegant all in one. I was traveling with my young son and mother in law and they provided a wonderful sitter so we could have an evening out. (At their restaurant, but I'll save... More

I stayed here for one night and absolutely loved it. It is perfectly located on the main street in town and is absolutely beautiful. The rooms were huge and comfortable and the entire place was gorgeously decorated. The staff were extremely helpful and the breakfast was delicious. They even have a cute gift shop. I highly recommend this hotel to... More

Another amazing lodge. We adored Franschhoek, wish we'd stayed longer. We had a great room, they upgraded us to a suite which was very nice. The restaurant, the renowned Tasting Room, was excellent. Great advice about walking in the mountains from the staff, who ensured we had maps, water, directions etc. Would definitely return.

The photos on this site don't do it justice, because this hotel is gorgeous. The gardens, the rooms, the common areas...all spectacular. The restaurant is definitely worth experiencing; food was very creative, high quality, and tasted wonderful. The staff was warm and friendly, and extremely knowledgable. We had 2 nights here and my only regret is that I wish we'd... More

Just returned from our 4th visit to the QF - beautiful hotel and stunning location. Great to see new touches, like updated bathrooms, tea/coffee facilities in the room and a complimentary mini bar! Lovely and friendly staff. The area is fabulous, with scenery to die for and great wineries to visit. However, best reason to make a special trip is... More

Lovely hotel, wonderful rooms, great location, incredible service (shout out to Michelle at reception, Karloff and co at the Living Room). The only issue we had was no 24h room service (everything shuts at 10) and the menu for food is limited - unusual snack style and we were often hungry. After two nights there, we had tried everything and... More

This is a lovely property in prime S. African wine country. We stayed the night here before traveling on to the Sanbona Wildlife Reserve. Our room was delightfully decorated and furnished, the grounds inviting, the food delicious, and the service excellent. In all, a treasure.

We stayed for the weekend at LQF and really enjoyed ourselves. Apart from the hotel which was excellent, we need to mention the freelance guide attached to the hotel - Steven Andrews. Steven took us on a day long wine-tasting plus overview tour of the Paarl / Franschhoek area and he was amazing. He was friendly, charming, amusing, informative, sincere... More

Rooms encompass a central pool and beautiful garden giving a cloistered sense of safe space. Traditional architecture gives way to surprising mid century modern flair, with each room interior individually decorated. Some of the room details seemed designed more for style than comfort. Our king bed was adequately wide but oddly short. The shower lacked stable shelving and additional hooks... More
