We stayed in the Apple Cottage which sleeps 2. The cottage is basic but has everything you require including a heated bathroom floor which is perfect for the cold wintry weather we experienced. A criticism is the lack of a reading light and bedside table on one side of the bed. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen is adequately... More

We were not in the cottage very long but enjoyed our short stay. We appreciated that the manager had put on the heaters for us when we arrived in cold and wet Franschhoek and that we were given a complimentary bottle of wine (nice touch). The beds were comfortable which is a must for us and whilst the bathrooms were... More

Whilst we weren't expecting 5 star (it is rated 3 star) we were expecting a little more. Cottage run down and needs a bit of upkeeping. We were comfortable enough, but the noise from the main road was too much. When you book on a wine farm, one expects to have peace and quiet.

We stayed for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer! The cottages were well equipped and all had a terrace and garden. We loved the swimming pool, walking around the farm, the free wine tasting, and Joey the dog! Not forgetting the staff who were very helpful

This is a charming place just outside Franschhoek. The cottages are situated on a working wine farm. Accommodation is basic but good value for the price they charge. There is WiFi and they offer complimentary wine tasting for guests. It is a self catering facility but there is a lovely restaurant called ‘Cafe Bon Bon’ which is within easy walking... More

The cottages are stylishly decorated and furnished and very comfortable. Our host made us feel extremely welcome and could not do enough to help. Our stay included free wine tasting. We will definitely be returning.

Riverside cottages are very well located to Franschhoek. This is on a farm with wine tasting, and fruit trees. The cottages have everything you need for self catering. To stay here for a week is very reasonable. Very well run and helpful staff.

About one mile (5 minutes) out of the town center but in the middle of peace and tranquility. Nestled into the foothills of the most beautiful valley on earth. Much like the Swiss Alps. We freely walked the farm/vineyards of this family farm led by their dog Joey. He loves his sticks. You will never have such a peaceful existence... More

We stayed at this lovely place for 2 nights. It was picturesque, romantic, low-key, lovely and the perfect place for my fiance to propose! Other notes: The staff is very pleasant. The complimentary wine and olive tastings are a nice touch. Was wonderful to walk around the grounds, especially the plum and pear farm. Highly recommended for couples; seems to... More

We stayed at the cottages at La Bourgogne for five nights. We needed to work and use our cottage, Oak Leaf, as a base for business and exploring. Oak Leaf is a lovely, double-roomed cottage (two bathrooms, too). It is cosy, but spacious. For working, the internet connection was in quite good order. We enjoyed peace and quiet at Oak... More
