The grounds of this estate are gorgeous, and the cottages are lovely and well-equipped. There is a nice (though chilly!) pool as well, with lounge chairs for relaxing. The farm manager, Ann, is very friendly and helpful, and even gave us a tour of the vineyards while she did her rounds inspecting the vines, which was very interesting. There are... More

We a wonderful stay! It was amazing staying at the St. Croix Estates. Everything was perfect. The living arrangements were more than I expected and I am overly impressed. Very clean. Excellent service. The people were unbelievably amazing! I would stay here every time I come to South Africa from America. Its a beautiful place and I loved it! Thanks... More

We enjoyed a one night stay in the Semillon unit. The facilities are very clean and well furnished with everything that's needed. Personally I would have preferred the TV downstairs in the lounge rather than in the bedroom. The estate is secluded and peaceful which was perfect and the balcony was put to good use in the morning, sipping a... More

Don't consider St Croix if you want to be able to walk to restaurants, shops or places of interest. This is for folk who want to chill out ,enjoy peace and quiet, read, swim in the pool, have a Braai and if the mood takes you hop in your car and find one of the gourmet restaurants in Franschhoek about 10 Km away.... This has to be one of the best places to stay... EVER. Amazing wine, amazing view of the Drakkenstein mountains, immaculate roomy cottages well spaced out between each for a good amount of privacy and located on the interior of the farm as well. The price is a STEAL considering what you would pay at another farm or in the... More

The cottage was amazing and the accommodation (two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms) suited us as we were travelling with my 93 year old father in law. The cottage was well equipped and clean. There was even a vase of roses from the garden in the cottage when we arrived! A very tranquil setting with stunning views of the mountains!

My husband I stayed at St Croix Guest Cottages for 11 days in January 2011. We were greeted by friendly staff who helped us with our luggage and showed us to our cottage. The cottages are all named after different grapes. We stayed in the cottage Merlot. The cottage itself is stand-alone with two bedrooms (one with a double bed,... More
