I surprised my husband the night before his birthday with a night’s stay at this wonderful place. I had read about it in the travel magazines late last year and was interested to see if it met their lofty descriptions. Hell yeah! This is a working farm (fruit and grapes) with a formal garden that is a sight to behold.... More

This place has definitely got the wow factor in all aspects - the food, the service, the friendliness of the staff, I could go on........ Our visit to Babylonstoren coincided with a heat wave and the A/C in our bedroom stopped working. After an uncomfortable night, we notified reception. The owner's wife very kindly sought us out at breakfast, saying... More

This farm in the Franschoek valley is quite unique! Its simple, honest and understated with sincere attention to design without being ostentatious! when we visited the weather was superb with scorchingly hot days, but I am sure it can be enjoyed all year round. With its unique working gardens supplying the food for the kitchens and the rooms fusing old... More

We stayed for 4 nights of our honeymoon in SA, and can't speak highly enough of Babylonstoren, so much so we went back at the end for lunch on the last day! Everything here is perfect. The stay starts with the staff meeting you on a golf buggy to collect you and your bags for a short drive to one... More

The food, service, rooms, gardens and pool were outstanding. Fresh food directly out of the garden, unbelievably good. Our biggest mistake was booking only one night, I could have spent a lifetime there . . . More

We had the absolute privilege of staying at Babylonstoren for a part of our honeymoon trip to South Africa recently and were blown away. From the minute we arrived we fell in love with the place and the service was second to none. The quality of everything from the ever-so stylish cottages to the food was absolutely outstanding. We have... More

In September I arranged and enjoyed a sublime experience of 2 days and 1 night at Babylonstoren. The service is unbeatable. Elmarie and staff went out of their way to make our group's every whim a reality with absolute creative flair, style and exceptional delivery .... Nothing is too much trouble and the gardens are spectacular. I wish that we... More

This is such a dreamy experience. I stayed two nights and it was too short of a time. Spending a full day just relaxing and enjoying the property should be built into any itinerary. The staff went out of their way to make me feel at home. More

I was lucky enough to stay here last Saturday night and it was incredible. I work in the tourism industry and when doing a site inspection i'm always looking to find the bad things but honestly - I didn't find anything! From the minute we arrived to the minute we left everybody was just so friendly and welcoming (most of... More
