This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Rose Cottages. This time we actually stayed in Rose Cottage as my husband and I travelled by ourselves this time. It was lovely. Joan and her staff looked after us so well the time just flew in. We could only get three nights - wish it could have been more. Will... More

I stayed here with friends for 2 nights in August and I cannot fault a single thing about our stay. The location and view from the cottage was incredible. It was peaceful and relaxing. The beds were comfortable, the cottage itself was large and roomy. The owners were friendly and welcoming. Internet and phone reception was bad here......but honestly that... More

We spent 3 nights in this comfortable and well appointed cottage. It had everything we needed, the fixtures and fittings were very luxurious. The cottage was in a very peaceful location, with stunning views of the vines and mountains. It was very convenient for Franshhoek, only 30 minutes if you fancy a walk. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Joan really made us feel at home. the cottage was well appointed, and had fantastic views of the vineyards and mountains. we didn't use the pool as it was a bit chilly, but must be a define palce in... We stayed 4 nights with kids at The Stables cottage. Joan our host was so friendly and helpful, we definetely felt at home. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well suitable for a family with small children. The mountain views are definetely a hit, on our last day, there was a rainbow over the mountain which was stunning. It was... More

Lovely Rose Cottages are situated in a very quiet, convenient (wineries, shops, galleries and restaurants less than 5 minutes by car) and beautiful corner of Franschhoek at Verdun Farm. Booking is quick, easy. There are many good reasons to choose this comfortable accommodation and the simple 45-50 minute journey from airport makes this a perfect first or last stop on... More

We stayed two nights in The Cottage, which is in fact one discrete part of the main building. The views from the verandah over the vineyards to the mountains are stupendous. We struggled to tear ourselves away from the sun loungers. Good spacious accommodation, adequately furnished and equipped. Excellent value for money. An easy 4 minute drive from Franshoek. Would... Our South-African/Finnish family stayed at The Stables. A beautiful scenery to the mountains, cottage located between the wines. Very peaceful, quiet and private but still only a stone throw away from Franschhoek centre, and the wineries. The cottage itself is beautiful, one open plan livingroom kitchen and two en-suite bedrooms (one with double and the other with two single beds).... More

We enjoyed 4 nights with friends in 'The Stables' towards the end of our holiday in SA. The cottage is private within a stunning setting amongst the vines below the surrounding mountains. Our en suite bedroom had a very comfortable bed although the decoration was a little tired. The open plan sitting room/kitchen is spacious although as a self-catering unit... More

Travel Exclusively African organised our 5 week self drive tour through the Western Cape and Rose Cottages was an excellent example of the quality of the entire experience. Rose Cottages have 3 properties and we stayed at "The Vineyard". The setting is absolutely wonderful overlooking the vines and mountains with a stud farm next door. Total peace and Tranquility.
