We stayed in the best room available, and what a treat it was. The room is the best we have ever encountered and extremely luxurious. There are views of the mountains, a private pool, fireplace, nespresso machine and a huge and stunning bathroom and lounge. Just the best ever. The breakfast at Cafe Bon Bon is excellent, with cold and... More

La Petite Dauphine is a must for any couple visiting Franschhoek. We couldn't get a room at our normal hotel, so tried this for a change, we were certainly glad we did. Upon entering reception we received a friendly welcome. Just a few minutes later we were following the directions to our "chalet". This turned out to be a small... More

We were late and arrived at 6pm, it's a Guest Farm and not a Hotel so it's run completely differently. They had to locate the owners which was a trial in itself as there's no big reception and no big drama. As we waited I relaxed., at the security gate. Eventually the owner was located and we were allowed to... More

We recently returned to La Petite Dauphine for our second visit, almost two years later. We were instantly at peace when we drove through the gates & looked at the beautiful scenery. It is truly a stunning place. Stefan greeted us warmly & was as friendly and helpful as ever. Last time we had room 5 which we loved, but... More

We celebrated our wedding in La Petite Dauphine on the 6th January this year. The location, service and food were a dream come true. Having planned the entire event from internationally the assistance of Marie Louise was essential but her friendliness and attention throughout the planning phase and on the day exceeded my very high expectations, as did the location... We stayed in the Junior suite which has a good mountain view over the fruit trees. Secluded and private. The suite is well appointed and includes Wi-Fi connection. One unsatisfactory feature is a toilet and storage facility for cleaning staff and other workers attached to the end of the building. Flushing toilets , cell phone conversations and noise of other... We booked a 3 day stay over Christmas and were in Villa 8 a one bedroom massive secluded villa on the estate. My mother and I luxuriated for those 3 nights outside the villa by our own plunge pool on the deck chairs or reed chairs and watched the mountains around us. The villa had loads of luxuries within it... More
