Living in Ireland we always knew it wouldn't be easy to organise a wedding in South Africa. However our hearts were set on Franshhoek in Cape Town. I spent many hours trawling the internet looking for the best location. I fell in love with Vrede en Lust and was lucky enough to see the venue a year before our wedding.... More

Myself and my family went to the farm we know the wines as we are big fans of the Estate range. The old buildings is are classic and to think that wine have been made there for many years, definately worth a visit.

We stayed in 2 bedroom cottage and loved the space and historic feel. Arrangement with the Bistro worked really well. Lynne and her assistant could not have been more helpful with ideas for restaurants and bookings. We were shown the new rooms and they looked fantastic - great for a short stay.

We stayed in the recently opended (November 2015) Vineyards suites and where a bit disappointed about the service as the location seemed great. There was no Minibar or room amenities, neither could we see the wine production and felt a bit alone in the evening. We had a feeling that the location is more interested in doing wine tastings and... More

Stayed at the Manor House for Christmas 2015. A fantastic wine estate in a beautiful location. The Manor House itself was full of character and we thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. All the staff on the estate were very helpful and kind. All in all an amazing experience and the wine wasn't bad too !

What a beautiful location, fantastic wine and all round amazing experience. We stayed here for a friend's wedding and this whole estate is beautifully looked after and presented. I've never tasted such great wine and the wine tasting experience was very well put together, pulling the history of the estate into the modern day. We loved this place and the... More

My husband and I spent two nights at this beautiful venue. We stayed in the new part and rooms were very clean and luxurious. The breakfast was also of a high standard and the service was exceptional. We were wedding guests at the venue and I was really amazed at how attentive all the staff were. The location is very... Beautiful place. We stayed at the new part of the vineyard. Everything was new and comfy. However, due to the fact it has recently been constructed and we were the first guest, there was issues with electricity. It kept going on and off constantly. Also one of our friends in the old part of the vineyard, was mugged. The manager,... More

We stayed at one of the Vrede en Lust cottages during our honeymoon trip in April. I can promise you, it was one of the best stays we had ever had! Imagine waking up, opening your window to a view full of vineyards, with the smell of fresh baked bread and freshly brewed coffee from the bakery... We will definitely... More
