What a beautiful place! We stayed here over the weekend to celebrate our 7 year wedding anniversary. When we arrived, we were told we received a complimentary upgrade to a luxury suite. What a treat! The room is beautiful with a nespresso machine and free mini bar, we got a bottle of bubbly on ice and the evening when we... More

My breathe was blown away by the amazing facilities and service from all the staff. What stood out for me was the under-floor heating in the bathroom and spacious bath with the outdoor shower. I also appreciated the prepared fire-place, nespresso machine and endless supply of capsules. The vegetarian food was both gourmet delicious and innovative. Freshly roasted nuts with... More

I just loved Angala Boutique Hotel - and I am a world traveller. The beds are so comfortable, the bathrooms a dream and all the amenities just 5 Star throughout. There is not a thing I could fault or say was missing. Breakfast next to the roaring fire on a cold damp morning was utter bliss, and the staff very... More

I thought twice about writing this review because I secretly hope that the less people who know about this welcoming, calming and unpretentious 5 star boutique hotel, the more often I will be able to make a booking to return without a long list of competing guests. Situated on a wine farm off the main road to Franschhoek the loudest... More

We only had a short stay but as soon as we approached the hotel along the long driveway, we knew we were in for a treat. The hotel is in a beautiful location, and the attention to detail is second to none. We loved the pool area, the sunloungers were the most luxurious and comfortable we have ever sunk into,and... This boutique hotel in tucked away at the end of rather long drive from the main tarmac road but is well worth the journey. The rooms are old restored and enlarged workers quarters on this vineyard/farmland. The main building housing the bar, dinning room and lounge is a new construction. Dinner which I believe needs to have been reserved in... More

We were simply taken aback when we walked up to the hotel. The views around every angle of the hotel are stunning and we loved all the little finishing details. The staff couldn't have been more helpful in recommending different places to visit and explore around Franschhoek. We stayed in a suite overlooking the lake with an outside shower and... More

A perfectly run and appointed Hotel up on the hill slopes overlooking Rust en Vrede Wine Estate. The rooms are extremely comfortable and set up for self catering - not that good food is not available . . . the Cape is the epicurean centre of South Africa - and the Franschoek Valley stands out in this respect. The co-ordinates... More

What a great place! From the picturesque surrounding to the silent tranquility, Angala has it all. I spent three nights there and just didn't want to leave. The rooms were stunning and more then I hoped for with personal touches like chocolates at your bedside and a personal note to welcome you. Service was fantastic and everything I asked for... More

Angala is the perfect place for some days in the Winelands, for relaxation and as a base for discovering this beautiful part of South Africa. We stayed there two days at the start of our journey and we were well received and treated. The staff is attentive and serviceminded and they can help you with advices, bookings etc for your...
