Having stayed at Angala on two separate occasions, and being thoroughly impressed on every category of measure, I felt compelled to write a review. Here you will find tranquil surroundings, breathtaking scenery, impeccable service, convenience, exclusivity and ultimate luxury converging in a single, memorable experience. This is a truly 'boutique' five star hotel, situated in the upper reaches of Vrede... More

I brought my boyfriend here this weekend to celebrate his birthday with a little romantic getaway. Firstly, the service I received via email and telephone was absolutely outstanding. Communication is key to great customer service, and Angala have that perfected! Upon arrival, we were given a warm reception and greeting, a tour of the breath taking property and as I... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in a truely beautiful 2 bedroom cottage - stunning outlook superb gardens (your gardener is amazing and must have a passion for the garden). Amenities 1st class, loved the open fire in our cottage. View from the breakfast deck area amazing. We attended a wedding in the region so was a great location close to... More

Very nice little cottage, clean and attractive. The place has recently been renovated and features a few attractive things such as complimentary Nespresso capsules & mini bar items, heated bathroom flooring, etc. Although there are excellent dining options in Franschhoek and Stellenbosh, I would recommend having super at least once at Angala during your stay there. The food was very... More

We try to go away into our magnificent country areas as often as we can, as the Cape has so much bounty to offer. We stay at really lovely places, but sometimes we go to somewhere so perfect, so beautiful and so peaceful that we never want to leave. Our life is not geared to a pursuit of luxury, but... More

We were given the choice of several boutique lodges by our travel agent, and chose Angala based on the photos and reviews we read on-line; it was the absolute perfect choice to end our month long visit to Southern Africa, which included a 16 day safari in Botswana and 5 days in Cape Town, so we were ready to relax.... It is always a special treat to be surrounded by beauty, and Angala was one beautiful experience after another. Our suite was luxurious with excellent décor and attention to detail, which made me want to go home and redecorate immediately. A stunning bathroom, with a lovely touch of an outdoor patio and shower and sun loungers, a Nespresso machine in... More

We had the most enjoyable family break at Angala recently. We booked three suites which were all equally as stunning so there was no fighting over the rooms! The surrounding are magical, looking over a well known wine estate with beautiful gardens and the more incredible eco-pool which was so peaceful to look over whilst reading on a plumped up... More

From the moment we arrived i could feel my body relax. Tranquil atmosphere, luxurious rooms and knowledgable staff all contributed to a perfect holiday experience. Top class breakfast and dinner was a culinary delight. From relaxing next to that magnificent pool to sipping a hot Nesspresso on our private balcony I truly didn't want to leave. My family enjoyed an... More

My husband and I loved our stay at the Angala. It was like an oasis, with our room (room 3) having a very private balcony, looking out on flowers, a birdbath, a pond, and lots of beautiful birds. Plus, our room was very comfortable and attractive; I hardly wanted to leave our room. We ate dinner there and it was... More
