We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon and absolutely loved Angala. The scenery surrounding the hotel is stunning, you couldn't ask for a nicer setting. The rooms were lovely, with a gorgeous logburner to keep you warm on the winter nights and an amazing bathroom. Food was amazing and the staff were very helpful. Would love... More

Our time at Angala was a wonderful surprise. I won a competition through Top Billing and part of the prize included accommodation at this sweet and wonderful place. As my friend and I drove through the winelands towards the mountains our anticipation of what lay at the end of the road great with each passing metre. When we arrived we... More

Beautiful hidden retreat with an amazing calm and relaxing atmosphere. The perfect place to stay while exploring the surrounding area. The ambiance is out of this world. "Five star barefoot". Breathtaking views, world class food, warm and welcoming hosts and staff. Perfect for winter with a fireplace in the room, and in summer they have the amazing Eco pool to... More

We hadnt done much research about Angala and its location, but we knew we had to drive through Vrede en Lust wine estate to get there - that in itself already sounded exciting and worth the trip... The long path through the working wine farm just built up the charm as we approached our destination for the night. Wow... what... More

Angala is a gem of a boutique hotel hidden deep in the winelands about 25 minutes outside Franschhoek. We were staying at the garden suite, which had a living room with fireplace and a kitchenette in addition to the bedroom. The suite was beautifully furnished, and we especially loved the heavenly bed and stunning bathroom with two showers. We had... More

Fabulous Angala! We have stayed at Angala twice now and I can honestly say that the place is superb. Ann and the staff were so attentive both times and we always felt like VIP guests. We stay at many 5 star places all over the world and Angala is one of our favourites. We stayed in a luxury suite about... More

My husband and I spent a wonderful and romantic weekend away at this incredible boutique hotel. From the moment we arrived we were treated with such warmth and nothing was too much trouble. The gardens are magnificent with beautiful flowers, the occasional glimpse of (the resident) peacocks and peahens and the most heavily laden lemon trees I have ever seen.... More

What a beautiful place! We stayed here over the weekend to celebrate our 7 year wedding anniversary. When we arrived, we were told we received a complimentary upgrade to a luxury suite. What a treat! The room is beautiful with a nespresso machine and free mini bar, we got a bottle of bubbly on ice and the evening when we... More

My breathe was blown away by the amazing facilities and service from all the staff. What stood out for me was the under-floor heating in the bathroom and spacious bath with the outdoor shower. I also appreciated the prepared fire-place, nespresso machine and endless supply of capsules. The vegetarian food was both gourmet delicious and innovative. Freshly roasted nuts with... More

I just loved Angala Boutique Hotel - and I am a world traveller. The beds are so comfortable, the bathrooms a dream and all the amenities just 5 Star throughout. There is not a thing I could fault or say was missing. Breakfast next to the roaring fire on a cold damp morning was utter bliss, and the staff very... More
