This is the second time we ave stayed at Maison Chablis and I'm sure we will be back. It's perfectly located and walking distance from the main Franschhoek "drag". The breakfast room has a wonderful feel and breakfast is good. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean. The only criticism of the room we stayed in this time (5),... More

Very warm welcome from Pat !! Only spent one night here and wish I could have stayed at least one more night to truly enjoy this lovely guest house. Certainly an 'upper' 4 star guest house with stylish accommodation, delicious breakfast, and polite & friendly staff. Perfectly located - within walking distance to shops, galleries & restaurants. Highly recommended !!

When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Pat. Our room was more like a suite with a soft seating area as well as a four poster bed. Outside there was our own seating area which, had the weather been warmer (we visited in SA winter), would have been have been a great place to sit with a bottle of... More

Our stay was so enjoyable catching up with family, at a beautiful venue. Superbly well appointed rooms, clean and central. We walked to dinner to Rueben's. Delicious breakfast, Pam and James were wonderful hosts and couldn't be more helpful. Reasonably priced and worth a stay. Lovely pool and gardens.

What a lovely find! Charming furnishings, good linen on comfortable beds, abundant hot showers, delicious fresh breakfast. And in exactly the right place with everything on the doorstep. James and Pat were both friendly, welcoming, informative hosts. We only stayed one night, with discerning friends/family who all rated it highly too, and will definitely be back for longer soon.

I had a wonderful stay at Maison Chablis Guesthouse. The bed was by far the most exciting part of my stay. Very comfortable 'princess in the pea bed'. It was comfortable and very homey. I would love to return.

James is the perfect host. Room was clean with everything we needed. Spacious bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was well cooked and more than we could eat. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you.

We had a great weekend stay at the Maison Chablis. The location is perfect ... just a block or so from the main road. The room was very comfortable and we slept well. James, the owner, was an excellent host and offered some great suggestions for exploring in Franschhoek. We'll definitely be back.

Maybe the rooms in the upper floors are nicer than those on the courtyard. Our two rooms there, at ground level in the back of the building, were small (did someone say "snug"?) and in shadow most of the day -- and did not resemble the photos on the website which indicated larger sunny rooms. I'm sure that's fine in... More

Hi, Thank you for your review. I think your expectations were way beyond a 4 star B & B and also mostly unrealistic and unfounded . I listened to you very carefully when you addressed your complaints and I have this to say. You clearly stated to me that the bed wasn't a queen size. The bed is 1.5mWx 1.9m... More

As the title of my review suggests, we were blown away by the absolute warmth and friendliness of hosts Pat and James. It's clear that they make a point to engage with every single guest, and they were simply lovely. We visited over the Valentine's Day weekend and it was just lovely - had the privilege to enjoy two different... More
