This was our 4th staff and whilst I love this camp and the staff we were left disappointed by the accommodation it seems to diminish on each visit. On all previous visits we needed blankets at night January it's incredibly hot 45c we were looking forward to the spacious honeymoon tent and fan to our astonishment they had removed the... More

We spent 4 nights at this unfenced wilderness camp over New Year. The camp is around 3km from Mata Mata where you can get fuel and basic supplies. The 15 tents overlook the dry Auob River bed and the camp's private waterhole. The camp is set up with a sleeping tent (with shower and toilets) and a separate kitchen tent... More

We took the honeymoon tent as it was all that was available, but we were glad we did. It is right at the end of the camp. The camp itself is situated nicely overlooking the dry riverbed. We saw plenty of game. The tent was neat, clean and the bathroom was good.

Really beautiful camp with no fences. This is not a luxury lodge where you are catered for and has minimal creature comforts. We stayed for one night and had 2 female lions in camp in the afternoon. They were between huts so walking from huts at end of camp to swimming pool is not clever. Had 2 other lion mating... More

Had a very pleasant stay at Kalahari tented camp howevever the view of the waterhole was blocked by the trees. The camp is very near to Mata Mata where you can find a fuel station and a nice shop. Well appointed kitchen and nice braai area.

We spent five days here in August 2014 in a family tent. The tents are clean and spacious. The kitchen is in a separate unit next to the main tent. A great place for the resident mice to sleep. The camp doesn't have the same feeling as the smaller unfenced camps but is still a great place to stay. The... More

This camp is only 3 km away from Mata Mata camp which has fuel and small shop with the basics. Views of the waterhole from your own deck are great and there is always something there. The separate kitchen is well equipped and there are four single beds in the sleeping section. Heating and refrigeration is from gas and lighting... More

This is one of my favorite camps in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The units are spacious and have a great braai deck in front of the separate kitchen unit. Overlooks a long waterhole/trough in the valley below. Have seen Lion and Caracal at this waterhole. It's an unfenced wilderness camp which makes it. All the more special.

The tented accommodation is comfortable and well equipped with separate bedroom/bathroom and kitchen tents linked by a private outdoor braai area. The situation of the camp, south of Mata Mata facilitates the spread of vehicles during the early morning 'rush' to get out game viewing. The sleeping tent is on stilts which does mean it is cold in winter as... More
