There are only four cabins at Kiliekrankie. They are very comfortable and each has a large deck overlooking a small waterhole. The electric and hot water are solar, but there is a gas refrigerator and a two-burner gas cooktop, as well as a braai on the deck. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The water is OK for washing,... More

An incredible location in Kgalagadi, set high up on a vegetated high sandune overlooking a small waterhole and across miles of rolling dunes out the front veranda and back parking area. Sunset and sunrise remarkable, with fog on the dune valleys at sunrise. Very clean, hot water with good pressure, and fully fitted kitchen with gas hob (no oven) and... More

If you can secure a reservation here do not hesitate , do it ! Only 4 chalets perched atop a red sand dune overlook a natural a natural hollow complete with its own waterhole. The standard of accommodation situated as it is in the wilderness is of a high standard. The accommodation in other camps (Mata Mata / Nossob )in... More

KTP has 5 Wilderness Camps. All consist of 4 units each. Kieliekrankje is one of them. Construction wise I say the best of all. The chalet sits on top of a dune and you look down to the waterhole. Around is Kalahari desert at its best. You probably see less big antelope as at other Camps, but Leopard frequently comes.... More

Staying overnight at Kieliekrankie Wilderness Camp is such a special experience that it's difficult to find adequate words to describe it. The camp is perched on top of a high sand dune - giving breathtaking views over a vast open expanse of red dunes and scrub in all directions, literally as far as the eye can see. If the rare... More

We just finished our second stay at Kieliekrankie and it is even better than we remembered. The views from the units are outstanding, with huge decks and a nice braai area. I only wish the waterhole were a little closer. We saw a large spotted hyena wandering around the camp one night. The stars in the night sky are amazing... More

Second visit and just as good. Brilliantly looked after by Willem and Jack, well fitted out, lovely position overlooking the dunes and a ,fairly quite, waterhole. Unrivalled access to main Auob valley, a wildcat in one of the sheds, what more do you want? Get your wood, water and food and go.

First trip to Kgalagadi and stayed in six camps. Tough call, but this was our favourite. Best accommodation, impeccably clean, well maintained and managed, spacious and well equipped and with most amazing views from the extensive deck. Starscape was out of this world, daytime red dune view was simply stunning and its location in the park placed us perfectly for the... More

This is the cleanest and best-run camp in the park. The camp won SANParks camp of the year in 2011 and the camp manager, Willem, was most deserving as he is passionate about his camp. The waterhole is superb and we have seen leopard, cheetah, honey badger, porcupine, caracal and many other animals drinking here. The animals are not as... More

It faces over a waterhole in the dunes. You are on your own with 3 other cabins. Self catering of course. Well looked after by the warden and a sense of privacy lacking in other camps in the Kgalagadi. Game is a bit sparse here as you are off the main river valleys but access to Auob valley is quick...
