Arriving from the Botswana side, this camp was an island of relaxation and convenience completely off the beaten path (a vehicle with high ground clearance is a must for reaching the camp from Bokspits). The restaurant was delicious with great service, and the area was secluded and quiet except for all the night wildlife noise. The only drawback was an... More

If the rest of the accommodation is the same as the family chalet we occupied for one night then we pity those who stayed there. Our unit was seriously in need of attention, the bathroom was disgusting, smelt of sewage and the "shower" dribbled out so little water that it was hard to get wet. The two ring hotplate was... What a privilege it is to have a meal in a restaurant while visiting the Kgalaghadi. Twee Rivieren is the only camp to have a restaurant and the meal we had was superb. The service was efficient and friendly and the ambiance very much in keeping with the wild life experience. I have no hesitation in recommending the restaurant.

Twee Rivieren is the South African entrance to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. I would call the rest camp rather functional than scenic. It is ideally located in the park, next by the entrance gate and it offers all the facilities you may need like clean toilets, hot showers, a restaurant and a gas station.

We stayed 3 nights in one of the very spacious, well equipped and comfortable chalets at Twee Rivieren. Everything functioned, even the light over the braai! The shop had a very good range of supplies. There was no spare key to our chalet but the cleaning staff let us know and we left it for them so they could clean... More

I dont really like staying here, but it is generally the only camp i can get into at short notice so i have no option. The game viewing is what its all about in Kgalagadi and this camp is a bit too far from most of the good spots....well thats my opinion... others have had fantastic sightings here. Camping here... We stayed at the campground, and we really liked it. It's not too big, but big enough to have space for people who haven't booked in advance. The sanitary facilities were average, the stuff was very nice and helpful. We even heard a lion roaring at night :) Once we booked a table for dinner at the restaurant there, and... More

We stayed at Tweerivieren, Mata Mata, Nossob and Kalahari Tent Camp. It was the best time I have had for years. The chalets are very basic. Yes, there are bats ......... so what ...... they will not bite you and they certainly wont kill you. This is a wild life experience and if your looking for luxury - then go... More

We stayed for 3 nigths in two different family-cottages in Twee Rivieren. As you find yourself in the beautiful Kgalagadi Park, the surroundings are magnificent and it was a great joy to drive around in the park. We expected the accommodation to be simple, which they were. But there were also many things broken or not working - holes in... More

We had one of the apartments which had basically everything needed for the stay. The problem was, that there were bats in them which had spread their faeces all over the beds. During my next stay I will use the camping site instead. The place is a good starting point for excursions into the Kgalagadi desert.
