We chose Sanloo Manor for our Christmas visit to family living in Tzaneen mainly because it was central and affordable. Our room was inside the hotel, clean, serviced daily as well as clean towels, shampoo and soap being placed in the bathroom. The bed, itself, was a dream to sleep on and the added bonus, for us, was the air... More

Our company has been using Sanloo Manor Guesthouse for a while now, and I can absolutely recommend this establishment as "the" place to stay when working in and around Tzaneen. When you travel on business there are a few things you do not want to worry about, and that is where you are going to eat or drink. You can... More

The room was very clean and comfortable. However when staying in a guest house I always prefer: An air conditioner. (Not required during my stay but I would imagine would be sorely missed in summer?) Hair dryer. Bar fridge. More info about the guesthouse itself, surrounding areas and facilities and the WiFi password.

The “upper class” advertising is not what we experienced. We stayed 7 nights in a Garden Room - these rooms are situated in a parking area (double story building) with not even a piece of grass in front of the room, so we had to go to the tea garden for privacy or calm atmosphere. We were awakened every night/morning... More

I was very happy with my stay. Reception is very helpful in choosing the right room for you, I stayed in one of there standard rooms which offered elegance and comfort. Had everything I needed and was very clean. Staff was very helpful taking me to my room and assisting me with my luggage. Food was excellent. Grounds where so... More

I stayed over for 1 night. After closing between the best of the worse, settled into a mouldy dirty room. No plugs in basin, floor dirty, woke up with about 15 insect bites, no hot water, kettle water smelt, tv put ontop of wardrobe so no viewing while on the bed, gardeners started sweeping leaves from tar at 7am....using straw... I travel for a living spending half the month in hotels and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever been to. The management don't care about the guests, staff demoralized, false advertizing on their site ( aircons and wireless)...a fan and iffy wireless and not a place to hold a conference...very disappointed as not what their site... We stayed at the Sanloo for a single night. Don't rely on the GPS coordinates on their website to find them. It will get you within a km of the place. We stayed in one of the "standard" rooms. They are on the small side, in the main lodge, and have creaky wooden floors. Breakfast was an extra R80 per... More

Well this Manor has seen the best of days, the internet pics exaggerate the elegance, it needs refreshment, I found the rooms to be less than adequate and for a four star establishment, it should at least offer a bar fridge in the room. The reception was warm, the staff very accommodating and friendly but didn't meet expectations.
