One of the reasons that we chose to stay 4 nights at Kuname River Lodge was because it has 5 Chalets with potentially a maximum of 10 guests. However, when we arrived we found that there were 17 guests in total staying at the lodge and the attached Manor House. On our first afternoon game drive we had 10 people... More

I booked the Kuname lodge based on the positive comments I read on this site so really didn't know what to expect as this was our first trip to South Africa. I have to say that the lodge exceeded our expectations on every level. If I were to characterize what set the Kuname River Lodge apart, it was undoubtedly the... More

We stayed here for 3 days as a family, my husband and I and our 3 daughters on May 24 to 26, 2014. We found our time at the Kuname River Lodge truly unforgettable! It was an amazing first time safari experience for us! We actually saw the safari Big Five only after three game drives! (Thanks to our capable... More

This was our first safari so really didn't know what to expect. I don't think it could have been better the lodge was great with amazing views from the main lodge and the chalets with own balconies overlooking the river. The food was out of this world Sammy and the staff really looked after us. The trackers Peter and Sandy... More

This place is really home away from home, specially with the hospitality of Anita and Andre you can never go wrong with this place. Only bad thing about this place is that you will put on a few pounds from the yummy food that the chefs cook there. Game drives are amazing and the Ranger Peter and the Tracker Sandy... More

As soon as you step into Kuname you feel relaxed, welcomed and looked after. Anita is the perfect hostess, the chefs are exceptional and everyone working there greets you with a smile. Our guide Oli and tracker Mosco were brilliant, so dedicated to giving us an amazing experience...which of course they did!! This place really is special.

We visited Kuname as the 2nd safari of our honeymoon. Having got used to another lodge and absolutely loved it, we were slightly apprehensive as to whether this would compare but it most certainly did. From the minute we arrived, Anita made us feel like nothing was too much trouble and it was total relaxation. Our room was big and... More

A great big thank you to all the staff at Kuname for making it the most wonderful experience. From the second we arrived we were made to feel welcomed and relaxed. With the knowledge from the ranger Morvan and the tracker Sandy we didn't miss out on anything. We spotted the Big 5 on our daily Safari treks. Thankyou for... More

Amazing location. Great and plentiful food! We have stayed at Shiduli before, and were amazingly lucky to stay in the Reserve again. No stone had been left unturned - Morven our guide had been allocated to us from Shiduli, and again the sightings were fantastic, with Morven and Sandy desperately trying their best for us. Kuname is a fantastic location... More
