We spent 3 nights there during the month of July 2014. The landscape is simply astonishing and the accommodation very nice and clean, nothing bad to say about it, the bed was very comfortable. Excellent place to get away from civilisation! If we could give some advice to improve: -Add some activities for non-hikers such as horse-riding/ abseiling/ archery.. -Should... More

The scenery at Giant's Castle, especially in the summer, is beautiful!! The weather is remarkable because it can be super cloudy and stormy and then the next second its sunny and very hot. So you will not be disappointed. We stayed in a Mountain view chalet which I recommend more than a garden view room because it seems more private... More

The mountain view lodge we stayed in was worth it's name: the view was absolutely stunning! The bed was very comfortable as well. The restaurant was alright but not really worth mentioning. I would recommend to cook/braai yourself (although the nearest supermarket is miles away). Hiking in this area is really amazing and worth the trip!

On my second trip to the Giants Castle Nature reserve we booked the Lodge, 2 Sleeper and 6 sleeper mountain views. The views from the 6 sleeper were ok. What blew me away was the lodge, and units 37,38,39.40. The lodge comes with a chef, but he cleaned and really avoided the cooking. so dont rely on him for more.... More

We stayed in a chalet with garden view. The unit is compact, equipped for self-catering. It has got barbeque facilities and microwave, but only a hot plate. Unfortunately the fridge froze up. The camp is surrounded by lovely bush, with many birds and naughty baboons. The restaurant has a la carte menu, which is reasonably priced. Beautiful mountain view from... More

Last Saturday morning on hearing that it had snowed, we decided on the spur of the moment to venture to the Berg. We promptly phoned around and found that there was some snow at Giants Castle and rapidly booked directly with Giants Castle Resort. Booking procedures were dealt with professionally over the telephone and they even phoned back to confirm... More

For a lodge set in such a stunning part of the world what can you expect for $100 a night. Not this. It really was surprisingly good as we’d read that SA park accommodation was sometimes not well looked after or equipped. Not here. It had clean bedclothes, bathroom and towels and was well furnished, well looked after, equipped with... More

My partner and I visited Giants Castle resort on Saturday 18 October 2014 and arrived with limited expectations. We were pleasantly surprised at the facilities and our chalet. We stayed in Chalet 30 and its by far the best with sweeping views of the gorgeous Giants Castle. It has easy access from the parking area and was spotlessly clean and... More

We spent last weekend at Rock lodge at Giants Castle. To start with the positives, it has the most exquisite uninterrupted views from all its windows. The three bedrooms are comparable in terms of facilities. All have similar bathrooms and all have lovely views. In addition, each bedroom has two double beds in it, which makes the accommodation extremely flexible.... More
