After an initial hiccup around our check in date, we had an amazing experience at Shaloah. We were upgraded to a sea view room - I rarely pay in hotels for 'better' rooms because they're almost never worth it, but this one is. The sea view rooms have big balconies that overlook the beach, which you can sunbathe on all... More

It was our second visit to Shaloha Guesthouse and we will be back again! The views are incredible, friendly service and excellent breakfast. The staff go out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I won't ever forget the schools and schools of dolphins swimming past our balcony almost every day. It is a memory I... Stayed in the Oceanic suite on 19th and 20th January and very pleased with the accommodation; lovely room with spectacular views of the Indian Ocean and surfers from own private balcony. A warm welcome on arrival from Cynthia and a delicious breakfast( superb omelettes). Meals out at 'Kitchen Windows' and 'In food Blu' were very enjoyable.

We had a room on the top floor facing supertubes. The views are stunning and a walk along the beach in either direction is memorable. The guest house is functional with some nice touches (including excellent air conditioning) but not really luxurious in the way that some boutique accommodation in South Africa is. The staff are lovely and helpful.

We booked ourselves two nights stay on 24-25Dec. Considering this is the busiest time of the year, the management made every effort to book us in. We occupied on of the two large rooms upstairs with the ocean view. Spectacular views from the large terrace. There is also a large common terrace which is great for gatherings and sharing a... We had a room on the ground floor with an amazing view on the sea for 2 nights. Room & bathroom were spacious and very clean. We especially enjoyed the great hospitality. Recommendation for diner was very good and the hosts helped us with the reservation and the arrangment of a shuttle to the restaurant. Great breakfast on the terrace... More

I'm writing this on our last day having been here for a few nights visiting from the UK - and will be sad to leave to say the least. A friendly, warm place where the staff can't do enough to help you and make your stay the best it can be. Lots of people have remarked on Cynthia and her... More

We ended our 3 week holiday at Shaloha and we couldn't have imagined a better way to go! As you can read in the other reviews, the quality of the rooms and breakfast are top notch but not enough can be said about the hosts and the friendly vibe they put out. Cynthia and the others made us really feel... More

This was a great place to stay while visiting Jeffrey's Bay. My girlfriend and I spend two nights there, I was wave hunting, and she enjoyed the quiet beach and amazing porch and outside areas that the house has to offer. Cynthia was the greatest hostess I have had on any travels, we ate wonderful breakfasts enjoying the view and... More
