What a great experience. We spent two nights at this beautiful and mystic camp which sits infront of a waterhole and attracts the wild animals. Monkeys run around the common area of the hotel. The tents are luxurious, comfortable and very romantic. In the evening you can sit on your porch, sip on some white wine or sherry and watch... More

It seems the experience of "Officialreviewer321" below is not one that has been shared by the vast mjority of reviewers who clearly have high opinions of Gorah. We found it a wonderful experience. Leaving the car at the gate lodge our first game drive was effectively being driven through the park to the lodge. Gorah boasts a high density of... More

This lodge was different from all others. While the tents are a bit simple (no electricity at certain times, no wifi, plastic shower that changed temperature all the time...) the main house is just as in former times, full of charm and just with candles in the evening. It is like living in the times when the settlers came to... More

This is an experience. You stop and watch elephants and ostrich doing their thing as you approach. The staff greet you, then take you past the swimming pool( with large tortoise eating the freshly clipped grass) Past the viewing deck, Along the walkway, Through the electrified fence to your "tent" It has a thatched roof , on stumps and has... As a South African who grew up with safari, no newbie to luxury lodges, and having lived in Italy for 5 years, we were thrilled to hear about Gorah Elephant camp. With its prestigious “ Relais Chateau” and “ Hunters” accreditations, it was sure to be a great bush getaway. However, when we arrived, we were not so much as... More

Gorah is a nicely located private lodge within the Addo National Park, with private meaning most luxury and exclusive. Game drives are on a private concession, but animals roam free between the private concession and the rest of the park, so you can get a lot of elephants, lions and buffalo or a bit less, depending on your guides know... Went for 2 days, after visiting two others game ranges. This one was the more expensive one, and it turned to be the worst one too. The ranger called Hugo was really annoying, didnt know a lot about the animals, and he kept laughing in the radio talking with his brother. I made the mistake of leaving a few dolars... More

Dear Juanca Oribe Thank you so much for your open and candid review. We are appalled at the incident of your wallet in your room and I will personally look into it. As to the radio etiquette that was displayed by Hugo there is no excuse and has been dealt with. The rangers however have to pass a certain code... More

Perfect in every way, from the luxury tent to the special game drive to the amazing food. To sit eating breakfast and experience various wild animals wondering to have a drink at the water hole just outside! Bliss. Passionate rangers being truly keen to deliver guests dreams. A feeling of freedom and peace.

What a spoiling!! From as soon as you drive up to the Entrance Gate to when you sadly leave the attention to detail in making your stay just the best is outstanding.
