Gorah is unbelievable! My wife was in tears when we left, she loved it that much. Woken up with tea in bed, lion roaring in the night outside the tent, seeing sun rise onto the front of the tent across endless savannah. Food is excellent with 3 course meals for lunch and dinner. The lodge overlooks a waterhole where we... more

Gorah was recommended to us by the man in Trailfinders and that man deserves a medal. We stayed at Gorah for 4 nights at the start of our honeymoon and it was just the perfect way to kick it off! Gorah is truly magical and there is nothing i can think of which would have made our stay any better.... more

So amazing! Gorah is an unbelievable experience. From the game drives to the food to the ambiance there is not one tiny detail Gorah overlooks. It's so magical, I can't wait to go back. Typical day starts with a yummy breakfast and off to a game drive....come back for lunch and freshen up afternoon tea and treats then off to... more

We stayed at the Gorah Elephant camp for 4 nights and we have to say it was truely amazing. The game drives are sensational, helped by our very knowledgable and experienced ranger - Hein, whom I would recommend requesting if you are thinking of going. Within the first 500 yards of our first game drive we saw a herd of... more

The reviews say it all - this place is simply amazing. We stayed here at the start of our honeymoon for 2 nights and were blown away from start to finish! The staff are amazing, warm and friendly but not overly intrusive. The attention to detail is simply superb, but I will leave you to find out what I mean,... more

We stayed at Gorah Elephant Camp for 2 nights in May at the beginning of the rainy season. It ws cold for the 2 days, and rained on the second day, but we still did go out for game drives and saw everything that the reserve has to offer. We even saw a Caracal cat on the first game drive... more

Nothing comes close to Gorah and it is simply because you are eating, sleeping and drinking literally yards away from the animals. There are no fences or barriers and the lions, elephants, zebra and numerous warthogs go about their business within touching distance of the human guests. On our first night this proved too much for one couple who checked... more

I was unsure whether to book Gorah, as my husband & I had already booked a 2 night stay at Shamwari Game Reserve & as well as the extra expense, I wondered whether we would see everything at Shamwari, therefore not need a 3rd night at another reserve. We were not disappinted!! Gorah was an incredible experience, totally different to... more

This is definitely the best place i have ever stayed. The staff and rangers were absolutely fantastic. The "tents" were unbelievable and if you like sherry, you are in for a treat!. I found it difficult to sleep at times, the occasional lion calling out inches from your bed tends to be a bit unnerving, however this was not a... more

17th January 2008 Gorah is a fantastic place to visit if you want a relaxing safari experience. Myself, my husband, my son (aged 13) and daughter (aged 10) have just returned from 3 nights at Gorah. From the moment you arrive to the minute you leave the staff cannot help enough. Having never camped before (I like 5* comfort) I... more
