We stayed for one night in a chalet. It was lovely, spotlessly clean, lovely crisp white bed linen and towels. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. It was well equipped for self catering. It had a porch where we could sit and relax and take in the peace and quiet and pretty scenery. The chalet also had a TV... More

We stayed for 2 nights in 1 of 6 rondavels at Addo. These little huts are beautifully positioned overlooking a watering hole. We were in number 6 which was a little low to see the water but we could see the animals on the slopes around. There is a veranda with seating and a fridge which was wonderful for sundowners.... A great place really. Bungalows dotted around the estate, simply furnished and comfortable. We had a two bedroom one with small kitchen and verandah overlooking the Addo and animals wandering by (we got woken at 5am to lion growling outside). The main central area of the rest camp has a watering hole, hides and a restaurant and bar (food was... More

We stayed 2 nights in the rondavels with community kitchen near the waterhole. The rondavels were very convenient and clean as well as the kitchen. The equipment in the kitchen was very satisfactory. The access to the park and the park facilities were very pleasant. The food at the restaurant was very good and the wait staff were very nice.... More

Addo is not Kruger but it is a very nice place to visit. Not as many animals to see but you are virtually assured of elephant sightings. Only seen Lions once but heard them loud and clear during the night near our camp! Did see black rhino and the photo's proved it to friends who have been visiting for 40... More

We traveled to the Main Rest camp with friends from Alaska. Being return visitors it is very apparent that Addo has improved over the years and yet maintained it's charm. The rest camp is always clean and well maintained. The Rondavels we were in are still standard SAN Parks basic and rustic. The air-con is still noisy, the shower small... More

Lovely place to camp, giving u the advantage of being in the park an hour before the main gates open. The area is clean, there is a communal kitchen with kettles, fridges, stoves and boiling water for coffer on tap. Each camp site has a table and chair, so no need to shlep that along too. The camp has resident... More

Addo has always been a favourite rest camp, with very good and reasonably priced accomodation and plentiful sightings of elephants and other animals in a natural habitat. However, like most Sanpark camps the catering was not good with grumpy staff and very poor quality. What a great surprise to find the restaurant managed by Cattle Baron,a very high quality restaurant chain and the... We had chalet number 35 close to the fence and saw a lot of elephants , warthog, kudu, and on a morning even 2 passing cheetahs just from our porch. The room has everything you need to make your own lunch or dinner (braai and fulle equiped kitchen). Nice and clean for the rest. Restaurant on the premises does a... More

We stayed at the family chalet for just one night; nice private chalet with a nice porch with a beautiful view over Addo park and lots of birds in the morning. Great base to enter the park very early. We did several self drive safaris and saw lots of animals including lots of elephants and two lions.
