In June we decided to join family in Wildwood for an August vacation. With it being kind of last minute and with a young family, specific needs, and a limited budget, our accommodation choices weren't plentiful, especially considering we wanted to be within easy walking distance of the Pan Am Hotel. After much research we finally settled on the Tangiers.... more

The Tangiers Motel is your typical Jersey Beach Motel. It is NOT a luxury Resort. The rooms are small and they do smell damp because you are at the beach and EVERYTHING smells damp - everything is always wet and sandy. I have been to Very Expensive Resorts all over the world and if they are on the beach there... more

This was our 2nd annual trip to the Tangiers. We love the hotel and the owners Bruce & Arlene are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. more

On a whim, I stayed here in 2004. They've since re-opened the coffee shop. Nice facility and nice people. Worth it if you don't mind being two blocks from the beach. more

Yes, the motel is old with small rooms and bathrooms. I can accept that. Wildwood is known for their 1950-60 era motels. I cannot accept a filthy bathroom for $160-170 per night. Our toilet bowl looked like it had not seen a brush in months and the rim was just as filthy. It was not the stains of an old... more

I stayed at this hotel a few years back and didn't have any problems so when my friends and I decided to go away again we booked with Tangiers. We got a great rate since it was the beginning of June. We got the room with a second bedroom. So, here's how my stay went....My girlfriend and I got down... more

This will be our second stay at Tangiers in 3 years. First of all, for all you people writing about the motels in general in the Wildwoods, it always seem that you are looking for a five star HOTEL, not a MOTEL. Wildwood is not Cancun or Varadero. Of course the rooms will be a bit small, smell a little,... more

First of all, I don't know what AAA was thinking when they approved this. We don't know the standards of a hotel being AAA approved, but I hope it's more than the hotel just offering a discount. If it isn't, they need to visit their approved hotels more often and reevaluate. We were trying to find a hotel that didn't... more

My first overnight stay at Tangiers in Wildwood Crest and I enjoyed the property and the accomodations. The owners were very friendly and the service was great. My room was very clean, comfortable and peaceful. The motel is 1/2 block from the beach and close to the boardwalk. The pool area was awesome and my kids will love it the... more
