We stayed at the sea gypsy and they have a brand-new section that they were renovated. The rooms are so clean and modern. Reasonably priced and includes breakfast. They are three blocks from the beach and they also have a hot tub on the deck

After a recent bad experience with trying to stay at a local motel with family, my wife & I went the bed & breakfast route for a weekend getaway. We came up the Sea Gypsy and spent the weekend in the Emily Dickinson suite. We enjoyed our room and our stay immensely. The bathroom was cozy but updated nicely and... More

Probably our fault for not doing a little more research. The room was on the fourth floor and very small. The bathroom could have qualified as the worlds smallest. If you were brushing your teeth and bent over to rinse your mouth in the sink your butt was in the shower. I went down stairs for two glasses and found... More

We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay, we would have tried to accomodate you with a larger room had we known you were disappointed. I am also trying to figure out which room you were in because we don't have any rooms on the 4th floor where the sink and shower are in the same room. Again we... More

I recently stayed here on the 4th of July weekend and what a great surprise it was! Me and my boyfriend booked on a competitors website and really had no clue what room we were staying in. On our arrival we were walked back to the Elbert Hubbard Suite and we were shocked. It was beautiful. Large sitting area with... More

Stayed here through booking.com. Did not have to put deposit down. This property is about 2.5 blocks from beach, not far at all, enough away from the noise of the boardwalk etc. There is bar not far, others have reviewed that it was noisy, I could barely hear anything and if i did it was not a distraction whatsoever. I... More

This Victorian home is full of antiques. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms on the top floor, but it was very comfy. Great breakfast every day. They have. Bikes and beach things available to use. Also a hot tub. True B and B service. A must see!!

We found the William Morris suite in the Poplar Ave annex to be perfect for Valentine's Day. The suite occupies the top floor of the annex. It was private, very comfortable, and creatively furnished with some truly unique pieces. The beautifully tiled bathroom comes complete with candles and a double soaking tub. Anna makes a filling, delicious breakfast and tells... More

Made a last minute reservation for an overnight getaway for my wife and I and saw good things written about the Sea Gypsy. They were all true! From the decorations and amenities to the hosts and their wonderful, accommodating breakfast this B&B was top notch. We stayed in the Walt Whitman room, a cozy room with a walkout to a... More

I loved the sea gypsy but I didn't love staying up til 3 am with blaring music from the bar next door. I wish I would have read the other reviews that warned me. It's such a shame because I would go back for sure but I need my sleep!!! I even had earplugs in and couldn't sleep through the... More

My wife and I stayed just one night at the Sea Gypsy suites July 4th, but would recommend the suites to anyone looking for this sort of accommodation. Many B&Bs are Victorian, stuffed with antiques of that era. In contrast, the Sea Gypsy suites are Craftsman era, and if you are a fan of that movement, this place is a... More
